~accomplishment
//
today
he dug a pit
in his garden
just under the sunflowers
he plucked his favourite dandelion
whom he never allowed
to be touched by anyone
and~
put on it's place
a dead lizard
then put mud
on it again
and finally
gave it a topping
of his teartoday
was the last day
when he saw that lizard
crawling for bees
he
as usual ran with
a broom in his hands
to kill it
B-U-T
today she fell herselfhe ran towards her
to kill her
to finish her all
even though he knew
he couldn't do that
his old limbs
72 years old
would never support him
but as he ran towards her
he saw her
completely dipped in the thick liquid
of pungent salts of sanitizer
her tail wiggled
stretched
achedhe
who should be happy for her pain
quickly tossed her out
and dried her
with a $9 paper towel
even though
he had pledged himself never to waste them
it just seemed
it wasn't a waste anymore
B-U-T
still those expensive napkins
couldn't relish her with life
she wagged her tail
and left him
alonehe
who always wanted to kill her
had accomplished the mission today
B-U-T
he just thought
after whom will he run
every 10AM muttering disgusts
now
he was peaceful
alone in his own house
without any unwanted visitor
yet
he felt the absence
of the one
with whom he had spent
the whole lock-down
