in another life, i'd circle gently within the eve of me, and this body. preserving its purpose for all that i feel is worthy enough to remain, if only to carry you here.
for longer moments, i'd drag a single golden kiss across the sun, and the earth. bury all that collides in the green. show you all that's alive and real. take you to the moon and cast you in what's left of her light. i'd beg you to teach me to swim and protect you from the bruises of the world. teach you about gravity.
in this one, i'll sing of how i love you everyday if only to watch you blossom. take in borrowed feelings and hand me downs and gleam in your adoration.
for now, i'm left to wonder if our suns will ever align. if i could ever be yours, in all of the ways that you are mine.
