"Haay yaal" I waved walking into work and some of them said haay or gave a friendly smile while sumn of them mugged me

I was a special needs therapist so basically my job ranged from helping special needs kids learn to write to exercising and other daily tasks

Halfway through the day I got a call on my phone and it was weird cause people normally don't call me unless at work unless it's a emergency

"Hello?" I asked answering

"Hey this is Veronica from the daycare um Kaisyn about 15 minutes ago just bursted out in a outburst of tears and he just keep saying his chests hurt and he just keeps crying"

"I'm about to come pick him up" I said

"Okay see you soon" she said hanging up

"Can you watch them for me?" I asked looking up at my co worker and he nodded

"Lyric" I said walking down the steps to her group "Kai daycare just called me somethings wrong I have to go"

"Okay girl I got you imma make sure you don't get a point" she said and I nodded walking back upstairs getting my stuff saying bye rushing to Kai's daycare

"Oh you're here" Veronica said "he's in here" she said opening a door seeing Kai sitting at a table with his head down sniffling

"Why he in a room by himself" I asked picking him up

"Because he was scaring the other kids with the way he was crying and screaming so loud"

"Okay I understand that but crying is normal and my job is 20 minutes away meaning he been in this room crying for the past 35 minutes and nobodies in here watching him or trying to calm him down and I just wanna know why? cause yaal shouldn't just stick him in a room hoping he gone stop crying that's not how it work especially if he telling something is hurting him"

"Here we're supposed to let the kids work it out on their own"

"I understand but he is physically telling yaal with his mouth that something is hurting him. You expect a 2 year old to work that out on they own? Like it don't make sense"

"Okay calm down a little cause you're at a 10" she said

"Don't tell me to calm down my child is in pain and you just stuck him in a room by himself like it's nothing like it's not adding up. Where the owner cause I need some answers"

"She's not here right no- don't worry about it I got her number" I interrupted her taking off Kai coat that I put on cause it was raining this morning and it was a little cold
