All I can think of when I see you
Is what might have been
If I had told you that I liked you too
What would have happened then
Would we still be together
And you'd be content with me
Would I have ended up with you forever
With a future we could see
Would we stay awake for hours
Talking all the time
Would we have a song to call ours
With a nice rhyme
Would you hold my hand when we walk
And smile when I spoke
Would you think of me at twelve o'clock
And whenever you awoke
Would we always make up if we fought
And forgive each other quickly
Would you say you loved me a lot
And I would say of course you do, slickly
Yet all I can do is think of you
And dream our story hadn't already reached its end
That your feelings were not through
And you were more than my friend
