Rhys wrote the letter. Cassian and Azriel contributed various amendments. Nala sat with her feet in Azriel's lap, impatiently turning so that they could retreat so she could let her wings out of the magic cup she had had them during dinner. It was midnight before they had a finished draft, which they all think sounded good, accommodating, and ominous enough.
Nesta and Elain cleaned up after the meal while The Faes worked on the letter, retiring, long before the faes went to bed. They told them where they could sleep.
Cassian, Nala and Azriel were to share one room, Rhys and Feyre the other. The eldest sister had tried to protest, but Rhys had shot it down with some fuss about protecting her and Cassian and Azriel protecting Nala.
Nala had not given in to protest, her time together the males had taught her that they were territorial and protective.
The room was bear except for the two beds and dressers. Nala did not think so much about who should sleep where. She just took a deep breath and let her wings out along with her exhalation.
"No need to kill me with those," Cassian exclaimed. She had almost beaten him down with her wings, had not known he was behind her. She sent him only a sweet smile and a middle finger in response. Nala threw herself on the nearest bed and began to take off her harness and boots.
Azriel silently walked into the room and placed Truthteller on one of the dressers. "Everything is secured. My shadows are watching everything."
The sentence wasn't directed at either of the two in the room, but both nodded as they continued to strip of their weapons.
Nala, after placing Cleaver next to Truthteller on the dresser, got up from the bed and sat herself onto the window seat with her wings folded around her legs and arms to keep warm. "You two take the beds, I'm small enough to sleep here."
"You are small enough alright, but you aren't sleeping in the window," Cassian said with a smirk. Azriel had pulled the leather from his upper body and was now stood in a loose top that showed off the Illyrian tattoos on his arms and some of his chest.
"Get on that bed, Nala," Cassian warned and pointed to the bed opposite of him. Seeing her in that type of 'scandalous' clothes didn't affect him in the slights. He only saw her as an annoying little sister, but for Azriel it was hard seeing so much of her and not react.
"No," she smirked and winked at the Commander of the Night Court's armies.
Before she or Cassian could do anything, Azriel had crossed the room and lifted her into his arms and literally thrown her onto the bed next to the one Cassian's.
"Stay," he pointed a finger at her before walking into the adjacent bathroom, leaving Nala in a horny and shocked state and Cassian on the edge of laughing his ass off.
