A few days later, the mother deer took her fawn out for a walk in the forest.
The baby deer's legs were longer and stronger now.
As Bambi followed his mother, a chipmunk and a squirrel were eating some acorns in their tree.
"Walking already? Well, what do you know"?
The squirrel grinned as he and his chipmunk friend watched the fawn walk by.
Bambi thought he heard someone talking from above and he immediately backed away, looking around for the voice.
But he didn't see anything.

Mrs. Quail said to Bambi's mother as she walked by.
"Good morning, Mrs. Quail".

"And where's the young prince this mor—Ohh"!
Mrs. Quail was about to ask, and then she saw Bambi coming.
The young prince stopped when he saw the family of quails.
"Good morning Bambi".
Mrs. Quail said with a smile.
"Good morning young prince".
The baby quails all said together, and then they all scurried away to go underneath a bush.
One of the baby quail came back to the fawn before leaving and said:
"Goodbye"!
Bambi was confused as he continued to follow his mother through the forest.
Along the way, he met a family of possums who were all hanging upside down on a tree
branch.
