Meredith Grey was sitting on her bed in the master bedroom of her house, her mother's old house packing. She was packing for her summer job as a camp counselor at "Seattle-Mountain camp", the camp she has been attending since the age of 6 and a counselor since age 16. The fun summer job has been helping her pay for college, along with her other job as a barista at a local coffee shop by her school. College isn't cheap and her mother refuses to help her pay for education. It doesn't help that her mother is sick so she has been dealing with that causing her to miss orientation. Basically meeting the new staff, going over rules, and getting everything ready before the kids come. The directors allowed her to skip orientation because of her situation.

You see, summer camp has always been her escape from reality. A vacation if you must. It's the place she made friends, made memories; some good and others bad. The place she learned many valuable skills and met her best friend, Cristina. The place she became her own person and had a child hood. It's one of the biggest parts of her life still.
"Ok so I have everything packed. Wait. I still need to pack bedding. Damnit! I thought I was done!" Yelled a petite dirty blonde young lady.

Her nose pinching up, as she slammed the bag back into the bed. All of her bags were packed or at least she thought.

Meredith got up from her bed in search of bedding. "Babe! Where did you put the extra sheets ?!" Meredith called out as she opened the hallway cabinet, just to discover that there aren't any. "Um, I don't know. It's your house not mine." Her boyfriend Andy called from downstairs. "Haha. Very helpful! I'll just buy some on the way there!"

"Okay baby!" I have called back. Being called 'baby' made Meredith feels extremely uncomfortable. Even though they have been dating for 6 months, she still isn't comfortable around him. So she has been planning to break it off but she doesn't want to be the bad guy. She doesn't love him and she needs to stop wasting time. As a 20 year old in college, people say 'your running out of time' but she's still young.

Meredith closed the closet door and went downstairs to meet her boyfriend. "Hey Andy, I'm leaving tomorrow. Are you sure you can take care of the house?" He said as he ran down the stairs. She went downstairs to find Andy pacing up and down the living room. "Hi how are things?" Meredith asked, noticing his concerned expression.
"I have something to tell you."

"Okay?"

I'm breaking up with you. I already packed my stuff and I'll be out of here in an hour. I'm so sorry."

"Oh okay." Meredith just stood there, stunned. Andy grabbed his stuff quickly and left. Meredith just stood there staring into space. She stood for a good 10 minutes before walking like a zombie up to her room. It's not like she too was sad, more like mad because she wanted to break it off first. Her first real relationship just ended but she wasn't going to cry and bitch. Meredith got to her room and grabbed her bags. Loaded them into the car, grabbed her shoes, and hit the road. But first, she needed to stop and get sheets for her bunk.
