My eyes flicker open and shut.
*beep beep*
The sounds of the emergency ward are more intense than I thought.
*beep beep*
I weakly glance at all the tubes and needles surrounding my body. In and out of consciousness I can briefly hear someone talking to me.
"Emily oh my god you're awake..."
"...not moved for three days..."
"...I'll be back"
Words fill my head trying to figure out what he said. A couple of minutes he walks back in with a doctor.
"Miss Thorne I see you've finally woken up. Now tell me, do you know what day of the week it is?" The doctor asks.
"It's uhh, it's Fr-Friday" I say closing my eyes.
"No Miss, it's Monday" he says.
"You I've been unconscious for three days" says the guy.
I finally remember who it is.
"Nolan" I whisper.
Then I think, the accident, Aiden.
"Where's Aiden?" I start to panic.
The doctor leaves the room.
"He's uhh" Nolan sits on the side of the bed.
"He's in the intensive care ward, on life support"
Tears fill my eyes. We tone know that what Emily says or the way she acts is not what she actually feels on the inside, but today is not one of those days. Nolan puts his hand in mine.
"What do you remember from the crash?" he asks softly.
Thinking about it hurts. I think as much as I can.
"We were driving home from the beach. A car came straight at us. Aiden swerved but it was too late. The car hit his and sent us spinning" I tear up.
"I saw Aiden all bashed up" I sob.
"Nolan I thought he was dead". I start balling and Nolan comes closer to comfort me.
"Shh it's okay Ems" he says giving me a big hug.
"It's going to be okay"
He puts his hands on my shoulders.
"Hey look at me"
I lol up at him with glazed eyes and tears streaming down my face.
"He is going to be okay"
