Emily and JJ had recently moved in together and one of JJ's favourite things was to have scented candles around the house. Emily didn't mind them. They gave the house a nice smell but they made her want to act like a child. JJ had told her so many times not to stick her fingers in the melted wax but Emily never listened. It was always tempting to just poke her finger into the wax.
"Em, you need to be more careful. You shouldn't do that". She swatted at Emily's hand to stop her reaching over for the wax again.
"Yeah but it looks wet and then it's not. It's fascinating". Emily started playing with JJ's fingers to give herself something to do.
"It could hurt you and I don't want that happening, okay?" Emily nodded and her heart melted a little when JJ kissed all of her finger tips individually.
"I'm sorry. I won't do it again". JJ kissed Emily's forehead and wrapped her arms around her girlfriend, occasionally grabbing Emily's hands before she reached the wax burner. It was like having a child but JJ didn't mind.
"Do you want to do something special for me Em?" Emily nodded and JJ smiled at her girlfriend. Blow the candles out and then join me in bed. If you can make it back to me without getting more wax on your fingers, I'll give you all the forehead kisses you want". Emily beamed and agreed. After she blew all of the tea lights out, she met JJ in the bedroom. When soft arms wrapped around her waist she sighed in contentment. The gentle press of lips on her forehead let her know that she'd done a good job.
