"Stop it Li, I'm trying to finish my paper." Zayn sat at the corner desk in his small room while Liam poked his ribs absentmindedly.

"I'm not going to stop until you give me some attention," Liam whined, "You've been trying to finish it for two hours now, take a break." He urged, eager to spend some time with Zayn.

"Go make us some tea and I'll be down in ten, we can watch a movie?" Zayn suggested.

"Yeah, okay. But if you're any longer I won't hesitate to drag you out of this room." Liam warned with a cheesy grin.

"I'm scared shitless." Zayn mocked before turning his attention back to the laptop in front of him. He skipped down the stairs and started a kettle for them while turning on the TV. He watched a few minutes of Rick and Morty until Zayn came down.

"Hey."

"Hey." Liam smiled and handed him a steaming mug of Yorkshire.

"Cuddles and Toy Story?" Zayn asked while walking to the couch.

"Yup." Zayn plopped down on the sofa and dragged a blanket on top of his lap, but opened it for Liam. He leaned against Zayn's shoulder and his chin was rested on the top of Liam's head.

"What was going on with Louis today?" Liam asked.

"Uh, I think he was just, um, really hungry, I guess." Zayn stuttered and blinked too fast. Liam turned to face him fully.

"Zayn Malik, since when do we keep secrets?" He asked.

"We don't."

"Then why are you lying? What's wrong with Louis?" Liam persisted, and Zayn sighed.

"It isn't my place to tell you." Zayn finally said.

"So what, are you two best friends now?" Liam crossed his arms and leaned away from Zayn.

"No, of course not! You know I tutor him sometimes, but that's about it. I feel bad Li! He doesn't really have a lot of friends."

"That's not an excuse."

"Liam. Seriously? If it was something life threatening of course I would tell you, but it's personal and he told me it's embarrassing for him to talk about it. He only told me because it affects the way he studies."

"Fine, okay." Liam sighed and leaned back again.

"You can trust me, babes." Zayn kissed the top of his head.

"I know, I'm sorry for pushing you."

"It's okay." They sat there in silence, both watching the movie and enjoying each other's presence.

"Zaynie! I'm home!" Trisha, Zayn's mum, shouted when she opened the back door.

"Hi mum. Liam's here." Zayn smiled and Liam peeked his head over the side of he couch to say hi.

"Hi Mrs. Malik." Liam smiled and waved.

"Liam Payne. You've been coming over to this house for 15 years, quit calling me that! It makes me feel old." Trisha laughed while leaning down to kiss both of their foreheads.

"Sorry." Liam blushed lightly.

"You staying for dinner?" Trisha asked, and Liam looked over at Zayn for confirmation who nodded at him.

"Yes please." Liam told her.

"Awesome. I'm not really in the mood to cook tonight, is pizza okay?" She asked.

"Yeah, thanks mum." Zayn thanked her and turned back to the TV.

"You two look like an old married couple, sitting there watching Toy Story." Trisha chuckled.

"That's because we are an old married couple." Liam joked.

"I would think you'd be sick of that movie by now Liam, I swear it's on every time you're here! I'm surprised Zayn lets you to be honest, I know he hates--"

"Mum!" Zayn yelped.

"What?" Trisha looked up at the warning look Zayn was giving her.

"Do you not like this movie?" Liam asked with a frown, sadness filling his heart quickly.

"Of course I like it Li. She's just being weird." He told him before leaning on his head again.

"Do we really act like an old married couple?" Liam chuckled.

"Honestly, I think we do." Zayn laughed as well and lightly pinched Liam's cheek.

"Stop it." Liam playfully swatted his hand away.

"You love it."

"Do not."

"Do to." Zayn urged, but Liam just stuck his tongue out in retaliation. "Do you wanna get drunk tonight?"

"Woah, what?"

"You heard me." Zayn whispered in his ear.

"We've never done that kind of thing Z. Plus, it's a school night." Liam reasoned.

"You don't have to, I would never force you into anything you aren't interested in."

"Where's this coming from?"

"I don't know, we're seniors in high school and have barely had two sips of a White Claw. I wanna get drunk with my best friend."

"What about your parents?"

"You know they never bother us when you spend the night."

"And school tomorrow? What if we get hungover? Where is the alcohol even coming from?" Liam pelted questions at Zayn.

"Okay, slow down. We could just skip, tomorrow's Friday anyways. I'll bring some Advil and water up so we have it for in the morning. Plus, you'll have me to metaphorically hold back your hair while you puke everything up." Zayn giggled.

"Convincing argument," Liam thought for a moment, "My parents would kill me."

"Like I said, you don't have to. I've just been thinking about it a lot."

"You could've said something before so we could talk about it." Liam looked up at Zayn.

"It's not sex or something Liam, I don't think getting drunk is one of those things you really plan." Zayn finished, and Liam's heart skipped a quick beat.

"Is that not what we're doing right now?"

"Fair enough," Zayn paused for a few moments, "You in or no?"

"Okay. But if I regret this, I'm blaming you."
