I resented god for giving me this ill fate,
Mourning and blaming him for my unfortunate state,
Clouded by the ugly feeling of hate,
I failed to recognize my raising heart rate,
It took me long enough to know that you were my mate,
But when it dawned on me it was already too late,

In search for a faraway diadem,
I had missed to noticed you beside me, my gem,
Though I know I have no one to condemn,
My heart refuses to let go this newfound stem,

I was a fool to not see your love for me,
Your smile and words made me feel so carefree,
But now that I now your worth,
I want a second chance, even if it takes me another birth...
