CHAPTER XXIII

Kelsey's POV:

It's been 6 weeks and Lillian hasn't woken up yet, my wolf is going insane, Rita is always in a bad mood. I'm so tired of this, Rita ignores me all day long and before bed she'd say goodnight and just stay on her phone the whole night. She wouldn't even cuddle me or comfort me. I feel so lonely, Sky tries to keep me company but she has two kids to take care of. I need to talk to Rita about her weird behaviour because I can take this any longer.

I looked for her around the castle but she was nowhere to be found, I asked the guards and they said she's training the new recruits with Leilani.

I sighed and walked to the yard, it was so huge and I'm too lazy to run there, why would they need such big field?

'Maybe because they have an army?'

I heard my wolf say, she's so annoying. I rolled my eyes at her and kept walking. As I got nearer I could smell my mates scent.

I saw men and women training all over the field others were just laying around, maybe it's their break time. I saw Rita walking with another woman, who looked like Leilani. They went next to a big tree and just stood there, with the head warrior looking at the ground. Suddenly Rita pulled Leilani into a hug.

As I got closer I heard their laughter, oh so she knows how to have fun and smile, be in a good mood with others but not me, her mate. Alright.

"Rita!" she turned my way, even though I was far I could hear her sigh. My wolf whimpered saying that our mate doesn't love us anymore and she doesn't want to see us. I swallowed the ball in my throat and kept walking towards.

'Maybe she's just in a bad mood again' I said to my wolf.

"Can I talk to you for a second please" she nodded her head, Leilani bowed to me and waved to Rita running back to her trainees.

"Yes love?" She questioned.

"I noticed lately that you barely utter a word to me. I feel so lonely, you know that a mate being distant is hurtful specially to a wolf, I-I just don't know what we are anymore" I finished with tears rolling down my cheeks. I looked up at her and she was looking at the ground not saying anything.

"So you're not going to say anything? I'm here trying to fix things, things that YOU caused that you're responsible for and you're just silent?!" I pushed her chest with my finger, she just sighed and tried to say something but I cut her off.

"You wanna know what, since you act like you don't have a mate. Might as well not have one" I saw her eyes widen with fear in them.

"Kelsey wai-"

"I Kelsey Smith, future Alpha of the blood moon pack rej-"

I was cut off by a guard running to the field,

"The queen has awakened!" At the sound of that I felt someone pick me up and run at light speed to the queen's chamber.

Rita put me on my feet in front of the door, I tried to open the door but she grabbed my arm, I felt sparks run through my body but I ignored them.

"Kelsey please let me explain" I wiggled my arm from her grip and rolled my eyes at her pushing the door open.

Lillian was sitting there with Lucas; he smiled at me and left the room. Her black hair has grown longer and her pale skin looked so beautiful and shiny.

"My queen..." I whispered, she looked at me and I saw her eyes darken with a small smirk on her face. She opened her arms and I couldn't help but run to her.

I sat on her lap crying on her shoulder as she hugged me tighter, I felt her lips kiss the side of my head and rubbing my back gently. I pulled back and wiped my tears and chuckled as she was already smiling at me.

"You scared me" I whispered. I was waiting for her to say something but nothing. I felt a tingle in my brain and I looked at her confused.

"I missed you, my love"

"Why aren't you talking Lillian?"

"I lost my ability to speak; the doctor said I might never retrieve it"

She saw the horror in my face, so she kissed my lips as if telling that everything will be okay. I heard someone clear their throat. Oh yes my other "mate". I got off Lillian's lap and laid next to her cuddled to her side.

Lillian motioned for her to sit next to her and I just sighed getting off the bed, you might say I'm overreacting but she caused this, if she just tried to talk to me all this time and just tell me what's wrong we wouldn't be here.

I heard a growl and felt a hand grip my hip hard and pull me back into her, I looked up at Lillian she stared at me questionably.

"Ask her what she did all this time you were in a coma" I said with an attitude rolling my eyes at both them. I felt Lillian slap my ass and growl louder which made me whimper.

"Sorry" I mumbled. I felt that tingly sensation in my brain again. I guess the three of us were in the link.

"Both of you, start explaining"
