CHAPTER XV

Lunas pov

"Why did you wanna see me?"

"I was followed on the way here. They all smelled like Kelsey, mom" I explained, she looked thoughtful. I mean I didn't catch what they looked like I was busy trying to reach the castle.

"I think it's her pack. Her father is Alpha and she was under cover to protect Skylar. So when she showed herself to Rita today they thought she was in danger" She kept telling me what Kelsey has told her earlier before my arrival. We went back to my mother's office. She sat on her chair thinking of a plan I guess.

"They probably smelled Skylar on me. You think they thought I hurt her or something?" She picked up the phone dialling a number and we waited for the other side to pick up.

"Good Evening Alpha James this is Queen Lillian"

"..."

"The pleasure is mine Alpha. How about we hold a meeting tomorrow, business related."

"..."

"Your pack has crossed my territory, without my permission. I have found out that your beloved daughter is the reason of that" she looked at me and put the phone on speaker.

"Lillian! Dont you dare touch my daughter!" She chuckled and hangs up. I looked at her with wide eyes. She's going to cause a war.

"Mother! What are you doing?!" She raised her fingers counting down. 3 2 1. The phone started ringing.

"Oh hello again James"

"Fine! I'll see you tomorrow. 11am"

She hangs up the phone with a satisfied smile. Does she realise she used her mate?

"I did not use my mate for business. I used her relationship with her father for my gain. We'll have allies against your uncle" my widened

"With that you and the werewolves can combine territories, since you're mates with the next Alpha in line" well done mother. I was about to leave when a thought popped in my head.

"What happened between you and dad?" One day they were a happy couple and the next they barely even see each other. It was weird since she has two mates and father doesnt even have one.

"He is okay with me finding my mate. Or in this case, mates. He's leaving after the war. To look for his mate." I nodded and left her office.

The next morning:

Skys pov:

Luna said there was somewhere we need to go, she said it was about Kelsey but she wouldn't inform more of more since it's not her place to explain. Thats why we were in front of the castle waiting for the guards to open the gates.

I had to wear my long red dress while she wore a tux. Are we going to a party at 10 in the morning? I walked inside the castle; this place never fails to amaze me.

"Good morning everyone" said Luna, everyone greeted us back with warm smiles. The king and queen sat in the head of the table. Queen Lillian was wearing a black dress that really suited her. King Marcus was wearing an all-black suit with a red tie. Rita was wearing a dark purple dress and Kelsey by her side had a night blue short dress. Liam and Lucas also wore suits, while Leilani had a feminine tux. Everyone looked like they just got out a photoshoot or they're on the face of a fashion magazine. Once we took our seats the main doors were open, a tall man who I recognized from pictures as Kelsey's father. He was followed by three other men and two women. They were all dressed like good.

"Dad?" Kelsey's eyes watered with happiness. The queen and kind got up to greet Kelsey's father.

"Alpha James we welcome you to our humble home." He bowed respectfully. He then walked to his daughter and embraced her in a tight hug.

"Let's get to business shall we?"
