Hi, it's your author here. So, I'm pretty much just here to rant right now. I have -or possibly had- a friend who I was semi-close to, but I used to have a crush on him.

All my friends said that this wasn't a good idea, but I made the excuse that he might be different than what others describe him as.

So fast forward to this pandemic. I fell out of love with him, but a teeny tiny crush remained. A couple days ago, we started talking again. We talked about my status on Discord, and we were joking around that day.

Then there's today. He called me out of the blue, and hung up a couple seconds later. I was confused, but he seemed busy, so I decided not to say anything until later.

I asked him why he called me and he said that he was having an airsoft gun fight with some friends. Ok, no big deal.

It's what he said after that hurt me. He said that they needed backup. Ok, seems fine so far, right? Then he said, and I quote, "And ur like a wall... fat as FUCK"

I played it off as a joke because I didn't want him to think that he made me sad, though he probably wouldn't care anyway.

THE GUY HASN'T EVEN SEEN ME IN PERSON FOR ALMOST 1 AND A HALF YEARS! Like, I played it off, but that shit still hurt.

I'm about 110 pounds, and I'm 5'2-5'3 (pretty short, I know), so I know I'm average when it comes down to that.

I know my thighs are... thick and that my waist could be thinner (it's not thick but not thin yk?), but I've always been pretty satisfied with my body shape until he said something.

I'm not gonna change my look just for him, I already fell out of love with him (that was an instant turn-off). I do have a question though. What should I do?

Should I remain friends with him?

Should I cut ties with him?

He's only been part of my life for 2 years, but his opinion had a big impact on me. He's a part of my life now, and it would kind of hurt to cut ties with him.

I don't know what the best thing to do is. If anyone does end up seeing this, please, I beg of you, please give me your opinion.
