Summary: Going on a 'long walk' during a case isn't the best idea when you've hit 'that time of the month.' Will Jane notice? And if he does, what'll he do about it?
Warnings: Periods suck... *mic drop*
A/N: Inspiration for this came from my own cramping torture on a walk with my family a few months back (I wrote this awhile ago) and I thought...hmmm, let's write a One-Shot! Also, (y/c/h) stands for (your color hair). I'll say this for now, the first few of these One-Shots were written in First Person and I may have missed some spots when editing them into Second Person so I apologize for any weird sentences! Lastly, comment what you thought of this one, I'm so curious about y'alls opinions!

Runaways weren't always a problem. Most times there was some tip off about a hideout and a small band of you CBI agents could go check it out, find the missing person(s) and get the whole ordeal over with. Not today. Today's case was going to take more walking than you did in an entire year, and to make matters worse, you was on the first day of your period. You'd barely been able to roll out of bed just to eat breakfast and yet Lisbon called you in. It wasn't her fault. She didn't know you were hitting that time of the month, and if she did you're sure she'd have let you off the hook.
But you needed to keep closing cases. Boss was kinda ticked off with you all lately because Jane had been acting up. While you understood everyone's frustration with Jane...you sorta sided with him. Not that the others weren't conscientious of his loss, it's just that they forgot the impact of it on his entire life. Jane hadn't just lost a wife and daughter all those years ago; he lost his purpose. He lost his meaning to life and therefore had nothing holding him back.
Nothing embarrassed him. Nothing was too dangerous or too scary. Nothing hurt worse than the sorrow of losing his family.
You understood some of his pain. Your twin brother had died really young and it ruined you for years. You were severely depressed in High School, so much so that you isolted yourself. It took a long time to break out and make friends. Even then, nobody stuck around and you weren't one to chase lost causes. It wasn't until you got this job that you really made friends. Cho and Rigsby were wonderful. You enjoyed Cho's deadpan more than you cared to admit and you knew Rigsby would sooner tear a threat limb from limb than let you get hurt, and Vanpelt and Lisbon were a Godsend. You'd never had such great girlfriends. You three clicked immediately, even though Lisbon was closed off...she opened up to you.
VanPelt knew you were on your period, but she must have thought you were ok if you'd agreed to go on the field. She never would've come in if she were in your place.
Lisbon would, no questions asked.
You let that fuel you through the long walk, but it had to have been an hour and already your legs were cramping as bad as your uterus. You checked to make sure Cho and Rigsby were far ahead of you before you let out a much needed hiss of pain. Oh the torture God had bestilled apon you. You would've thought you were having contractions or something.
"Are you ok?"
Jane, you groaned. You'd forgotten about Jane being there.
"I'm fine," You lied.
He wouldn't understand anyways. You didn't go around letting people know you were on your period, guys especially. Even good friends like Jane. Yeah, you were close, but you struggled with the idea of letting him know stuff like that. Maybe you were scared. Scared to be that intimate about your pain like you had been with your brother...
