Dreams POV:

I quickly got everything out of the car and sorted it out in George and I's new date spot. I set a blanket out on the grassy floor of the field and set my nicely prepared picnic basket on top of it. I placed my Grandads old record player in which he had passed down to me onto the blanket as well, with some of our favourite artists on vinyl placed on top.

I went back to the car and reached for my box full of art supplies. I wanted to calm George down about our project that we had both completely underestimated and I thought I could make it more fun for him.

I made my way back to the car and lightly knocked on George's window. I opened the door and led him out of the car while carefully holding onto his waist and making sure he didn't fall over. He latched onto me and made it to our picnic area.

'Okay I'm gonna take the blindfold off.' I walked round to the back of him and slid the knot off of the silk fabric and let George see what I had planned.

In front of us sat a vast hill completely full with blooming, golden sunflowers. The sky was a beautifully calming shade of cyan with no clouds in the sky at all. We were situated underneath an apple tree to avoid the blasting sun and so our food didn't spoil from the heat.

George turned around and wrapped his arms around me. 'Dream, this is amazing. Thank you so much.' He gave me a sweet kiss on the lips which left the taste of strawberries, assuming he must've eaten them recently.

We both sat down together, I noticed him eyeing the art supplies.

'We've both been slacking on our project and it's about each other right?' He nodded in agreement. 'So we can work on it today.'

He jumped on me and wrapped me in a warm hug. 'You're the best Dream, seriously. Thank you for everything.' He placed a quick kiss on my lips and clambered off me onto the blanket beside the food.

I put on the vinyl and we both focused into our paintings. George was painting a light purple portrait of me as he associated that colour with my ability to always make him feel safe. I painted George and the sunflowers, I included all of the picnic supplies as they were led out aesthetically.

We spent hours painting and it only felt like thirty minutes. George was almost finished and as was I, we had taken many food breaks and also ended up painting on each other at one point.

We both held our paintings up together and admired each others. George's painting captured me in a way that I've never seen. Being able to see myself through his eyes made me feel good about myself as usually I put myself down. I loved his painting. We both have three more to complete before our deadline date next week, but I'm glad we've gotten some done.

We packed up all of our painting supplies and allowed our paintings to dry in the sun before carefully putting them in the back seat of my car. We decided to stay and watch the sunset since it was setting soon.

George was sat in front of me, in my lap like a giddy child. He lent back and I wrapped my arms around his torso and rested my chin on his head.

We watched as the sun turned everything golden, George's face lighting up and the sunflowers bathing in the warmth. I played with George's hair as we waited for the hills to consume the sun.

George helped me up as we decided to head on back home. This time I was dropping George off at his house as my parents were home now and he hadn't slept in his own bed for a few nights.

The playlist resumed where we left off and we said goodbye to the apple tree and headed on home.

I step inside my door and try to take my shoes off with as little sound as possible. It was only 10pm but I didn't want anyone to ask questions about where I had been.

Before I knew it, Drista came sneaking over to me. 'Come here!' She said and led me to her room.

'A little birdy told me that you have a boyfriend!' She said, jumping up and down on her bed from excitement. Drista was the first person I told about liking boys. I knew that she would be fully accepting and she always kept my secrets.

'Who told you?!' My eyes widened.

'Sapnap did idiot.' She said as if it were obvious, which it kinda of was. Drista has been friends with Sapnap's sister even longer than Sapnap and I have been friends. Sap and his sister are close so she must've told Drista about George and I. I don't mind but I would rather tell her myself.

'Okay. His name is George, he's amazing Drista he truly is. His hair is brown and it falls on his forehead and sometimes pieces get close to his eyes so I get to move them away and his smile is just so contagious. You should meet him soon Drista, you'll love him!' I rambled on about George until I realised how long it had been. Drista remained excited for me although I was probably boring her.

She smiled at me and gave me a big hug. Drista and I have been close ever since she was born. I had to look after her often as we got older due to our parents being out of town so often.

'Well he seems amazing. I can't wait to meet him.' She said with a smile. I think she would get on well with George.

Drista and I decided to watch some movies in the evening. We then went into our rooms and I fell asleep surprisingly fast although I missed cuddling with George.
