His mother shouted from the downstairs. He swiftly put down his phone and scooped up a hyperactive Hanuel in his arms. As he walked downstairs, he noticed his mother and Jungkook conversing.
When they recognized him, he was taken aback by Jungkook's appearance, which took his breath away. His knees were wobbly at the way he stood up and stared at him.

"Ehmm." Taehee cleared her throat breaking but of them out of their trance.
"How about we go?" As he opened the door for Taehyung to go first, Jungkook requested.
"Sure." Jungkook interrupted Taehyung's mumbling. He gave him a puzzled look, and Jungkook motioned him to hand him Hanuel's baby bag.
"Oh no, I'm ok with the weight." With a reassuring smile, he said. But Jungkook refused to give in, so he gingerly slipped it off Taehyung's shoulder, grumbling, "It wasn't a question."
Jungkook led them to the car, motioning Taehyung to buckle Hanuel into the infant seat. Jungkook was already acting as a parent, which surprised Taehyung.
He swiftly strapped Hanuel and slipped his pacifier into his chubby mouth, where he began sucking vigorously, and making Taehyung smile.
He was astonished as he rose up to lock the door and spotted Jungkook leaning against the car, observing him.
Jungkook strode over to him before he could say anything, raising his hands and pushing his hair behind his ears before commenting that he looked stunning.
Taehyung's cheeks glowed as he muttered a thank you and complimented him on his appearance, but all he got in return was a nod. Only Hanuel's blabbering could be heard on the way to the mall, which was calm and pleasant.
Jungkook's ringtone then broke the silence, forcing Taehyung to look across at Jungkook. When he spoke, he clenched his jaws, leading him to grind his teeth. "Mr. Choi, I told you I needed that report this evening."
He spoke firmly, his voice controlled, as if he didn't want to bother Hanuel. He was so dominant that his aura flipped in Taehyung's tummy.
Taehyung was reminded that he needed to check in with Jisoo, the manager of the café he owned. He quit his work and hired Jisoo to assist him ever since Hanuel was born.
When Jungkook announced their arrival, he drifted out of his thoughts. The two proceeded towards the mall, Taehyung by Jungkook's side and Hanuel in Jungkook's arm because he insisted on carrying him.
Not that Taehyung worries, but Hanuel has taken a liking towards the male, not because of his tattoos, but because of the eyebrow piercing that drew his doe eyes. When Hanuel tried to suck or nibble on the earrings, Taehyung wanted to laugh, at how Jungkook would let him with a blank expression.
The interior design of the mall made his eyes shine with delight as they entered.
Crowds, bright store signs, sale signs, glass doors/windows, clothing racks, shelves, displays, washrooms, food courts, and so on were all visible to him.
Then he heard Jungkook spoke to him. "I don't want you to get lost, so give me your hands." Jungkook gestured with his free hand, allowing Taehyung to grab it.
When they tried to push past someone, Taehyung blushed as he felt the small squeezes Jungkook would give him. They were able to settle in a café after the commotion as they planned to eat first then venture around.
They asked each other basic questions about themselves as they ate and drank. When Taehyung was inquired why Bogum didn't want Hanuel, he was hurt and angry. Jungkook opted not to dig further after a few seconds of stillness, which Taehyung appreciated.
They then proceeded to the escalator, where Jungkook took Taehyung's hand in his and led him to the plushy store.
Before they could enter the desired store, they heard Jungkook's name being shouted.
"Dammit."
Jungkook cursed and drew Taehyung and Hanuel even closer to him. "W-what's the matter?" Taehyung was perplexed as to why Jungkook was so agitated.
Jungkook, who was peering forward at the coming mob of reporters, mutters "remain close" to Taehyung.
"Is this your family, Mr. Jeon?" One of them inquires, his gaze fixed on Taehyung and the infant in Jungkook's arms.
"Has he ever taken advantage of you for his own gain?" They inquired again when he continued walking towards the exit without addressing the inquiries.
That identical question made him furious; they had the audacity to ask such a question. Taehyung looked up as Jungkook quickly came to a halt. He hands Hanuel, who began to wail in response to the loud noise, and shoves them behind his back.
"To answer your question, Mind. Your. Own. Business," he said, sneering at those who were taken aback by his response because they had expected a more detailed explanation.
However, when they heard him speak again, everyone fell silent.
"I'll talk about my business related work in public, but my personal life is none of your business." Jungkook's severe words were met with whispers and shouts in response.
He turns around and pulls Taehyung by the waist and carries him back to his car. After making sure they were both comfortable, he observed Taehyung's trembling.
He sighs and leans forward, adjusting Taehyung's seat belt, who flinches at the unexpected contact. He then took his hands in his and rubbed soothing circles with his thumb, asking if he was okay.
"Yeah, I was simply startled," Taehyung whimpered, his gaze returning to Hanuel, who had fallen asleep after crying.
"Please accept my apologies." Taehyung looks at Jungkook, shaking his head and telling him it wasn't his fault.
They arrive early at Taehyung's house for Taehyung's taste. He noticed Jungkook hastily exiting the vehicle and opening the door for him. It was a thoughtful gesture for him, causing his cheeks to flush and him to say a short thank you.
He scoops Hanuel from the baby seat and cradles him in his arms so he can fall asleep. When he turns back, Jungkook is already leaning against his car, staring at him.
He tiptoes up to Jungkook and places a chaste kiss on his well-defined jaws before hurriedly backing away and murmuring a shy thank you for today then speed-walking to the door when he notices Jungkook's blank face.
When he walks into his house and looks at the entrance, he misses Jungkook's pleasant expression.
