I stared in wonder at the glowing blue trident above Persephone's head and pulled her in for a hug. She stiffened a little, and I didn't blame her, being hugged by a stranger and all. When I let go, I explained that she had just been claimed by Poseidon. "So Tammi meant you when she said that my brother killed her once!" she exclaimed. "Yeah, in my high school orientation. Ah, here we are! Welcome to camp half blood." We stepped through the borders together, with Persephone leaning on me to keep weight off her broken leg.
"C'mon, I'll show you our cabin, and introduce you to our dad." I guided her to cabin 3.
Inside, Phoebe was waiting on one of the beds. When she saw Persephone, she wrapped her in a hug and burst into tears. "I th- thought you were dead" she sobbed into Persephone's shoulder.
Suddenly, we heard a scream coming from outside.
