Chapter 53: Saving the Kingdom

(Harmony's) POV:

My friends and I leave the castle, trying to find Natalia.

"I know we promised that we'd help find her, but how are we going to do that when the city is so huge?" Sora asks.

"That's where this comes in," Harada says, holding an item in his hand. "I asked the King and he said it'd be okay to use this. Maybe, Chibi, Kuro and Stitch can use it to find Natalia's scent."

"Sano, you're a genius!" Nagakura exclaims with a smile.

Harada holds the item out to Chibi, Kuro and Stitch. They all take a good sniff of the item and then try to find Natalia's scent. Chibi and Kuro bark. As for Stitch, he points in the direction Chibi and Kuro are barking at.

My friends and I let them lead the way as we try to find Natalia. After some time, we eventually spot her.

"So, you came, after all," Natalia says.

"Natalia, what were you thinking, leaving the castle like that?" Luke asks.

"I thought I saw someone that fit the Organization's description and decided to investigate," Natalia answers. "I just wanted to help."

"Even if you did see the Organization, that was really reckless of you. We've fought a couple of their members, and their strength is nothing to scoff at. Come on, your father is really worried," I say.

"Wait! Don't you want to find the Organization?" Natalia asks.

"Protecting all of the guests at the ball is more important right now," Asch points out.

"But--what if the Nobodies attack all of the citizens in the city?!" Natalia questions.

"Not possible," Saito says.

"We've been fighting them for some time, and the Organization always goes straight for the source. The ball is a way of celebrating the peace made between Kimlasca and Malkuth. If the ball gets ruined, both sides will begin to distrust each other again, and that'll make more heartless appear," Heisuke explains.

"Which is why we need to get back, now," says Hijikata.

"But--! You can't!" Natalia exclaims.

Madison sighs. "And why not? Why are you so eager for us to not go back to the castle?"

"Because..." Natalia tries to say.

"You made a deal with them, didn't you?" Madison asks, giving Natalia a suspicious look.

We all shift our attention on Natalia, who glares at Madison. "How dare you accuse me of such a thing! I just want to put a stop to what they're doing as much as you do!"

"Well, if you didn't make a deal with them, then going back to the castle shouldn't be a problem, would it?" Madison counters. "Or is there something you're not telling us?"

"You really are a heartless witch, just like you're mother! You don't care what the Organization does to Kairi or Chizuru at all, do you?!" Natalia yells.

For some reason, Madison smiles. "Funny. I know we mentioned to your father about the Organization and that they were holding a couple friends of ours as hostages. But I don't believe we ever mentioned their names," my eyes widen at Madison's words, realizing that she has a fair point. The others also take notice of it, too. "So, tell us Natalia. Just how is it that you know that the Organization took Kairi and Chizuru as prisoners?"
