"What are you two doing here?"

"Your mom let us in," Rhys raised an eyebrow, "but the real question is, why aren't you inviting us in yet?" And, before Donny could even try to close the door, Rhys took a hold of Kaori's wrist and dragged themselves inside, shoving Donny to the side. Donny watched in annoyance and groaned, slamming the door shut and turning around with his arms crossed in front of his chest.

He watched helplessly as Rhys was already making himself comfy on the bed while Kaori was giving Belle a brief hug. Belle met his eyes and Donny could only shrug as Belle was sending her a curious look.

"What are you guys doing here?" Belle asked, pulling away and seating herself back down on the chair. Kaori furrowed her eyebrows while scanning the confusion swimming on both Donny and Belle's expression before glaring down at the younger one as realization sunk in.

"I thought you said they invited us over?"
Rhys smiled sheepishly, "I lied."

The three sighed simultaneously.

Typical Rhys.

Kaori looked back over to Donny with a look of regret, "I'm so sorry Dons. We could leave if you want." Donny contemplated but smiled while shaking his head. As much as he would love to have more alone time with Belle, he couldn't say no to an angelic face.

"It's fine Kaori, go, sit. Make yourself at home." Donny met Belle's eyes again and sent an apologetic smile which earned him a tiny grin from the latter.

Donny could see slight disappointment but it was only there for a second. So, he made his way to where Belle sat and plopped himself on the floor, leaning his head on the side of Belle's thighs. He could hear Belle giggling in amusement before feeling gentle fingers combing through his black hair locks. He would've sighed in content and snuggled closer if it wasn't for the teasing look Rhys was sending his way.

Let's just say, Rhys was the only one to know Donny's secret.

It's called alcohol.

It was only them two hanging out one night when Donny drunkenly admitted his undying love for Belle with tears running down his cheeks and snot dripping down. If Rhys had drank another bottle, he would've forgotten the confession. He unfortunately didn't even finish his first bottle when Donny confessed.

"Cute pajamas Pangilinan," chuckled Rhys. Donny scowled and blushed in embarrassment while lifting his head off of Belle, and away from her touch.

"I can always kick you out, you know?" he threatened. Rhys batted his eyes innocently,
"Well then, that would make you a bad hostess."

Donny whined, "Kaori, control your boyfriend!" Kaori playfully rolled her eyes before seating herself down on the edge of Donny's bed.

"What have you guys been doing before we rudely invited ourselves over," she sent a tiny glare towards Rhys who slouched his shoulders with a tiny pout. Donny shrugged,

"Nothing too interesting."

"Right," Belle voiced out, a tone that sent shivers down Donny's spine. The taller one slowly looked up and felt himself swallow a growing lump from the glint in the feline eyes and blushed from her sexy smirk.

"Nothing interesting at all." Her voice held amusement, maybe even excitement? He didn't know. Donny never knew what would go on inside Belle's pretty head.

Every touch, every smile and every glance, Donny could never comprehend. He use to think he could read Belle like an open book just by the simplest things. Like, being the reason for her gummy smile, her twinkling eyes and the blush on her fluffy cheeks. He truly did believe Belle had feelings for him.

But like every other time, he was proven wrong and left to be confused about everything he thought was true. How? Well, the list of boyfriends.

That was why he never read too much into Belle's actions. The girl was just a natural flirt. Nothing more and nothing less. Which is why Donny never tried to indulge in Belle's strange gazes. He refused to continuously get his hopes up.

Rhys yawned, "Sounds boring." Belle blinked and looked away from Donny to send a glare. She rolled her eyes and stood up with a tiny huff,

"Come on Kaori, let's go get snacks." Muttered the annoyed brunette. Kaori simply stood up and nodded, following the grumpy girl out the door. And when the door closed, Donny felt like he could breathe again. The tension was suffocating.

"I don't get it." Donny looked over at Rhys. Rhys was staring at him with hiz head tilted to the side. Donny quirked up an eyebrow,

"You don't get what?"

"I don't get why you haven't told her yet."

Donny looked away from the curiosity that was in Rhys almond eyes, down the hands that fiddled with the hem of his cat shirt,

"What's the point of admitting to something that would have no good outcome?"

Rhys had nothing else to say.
