two months later:
I unlock my door, opening it to reveal Sam, Colby, Corey, and Jake. Sam holds a camera out towards me.
"What are you doing here?" I ask, rubbing my eyes. The knocking and my doorbell ringing woke me up from my nap. "I was taking a nap."
"Come on, we're going back to my apartment." Sam says.
"Okay, hold on, let me grab my phone and my keys." I run back into my room and pull my phone off of my charger and back out, slipping on my vans. I grab my keys from the hook and lock the door behind me.
We walk the little ways from my apartment to Sam's, Colby and I walking in the back together, our hands intertwined. His warm hand spreads warmth into my cold one.
Over the past month, nothing has really changed. Jake and Corey now know about whatever it is that's going on between us, and a few other people in our friend group, but that's it.
When I step into the room, I immediately jump on the chair. I steal the blanket Sam had on his couch, adjusting to be more comfortable. Jake sits on the couch and Corey stays standing.
