Honestly this is sOoOOooOoOoOo frustrating and infuriating- I had my eyes on that win of mine in the corner at the beginning. Clearly my opponent didn't see it because they'd set the stone "1" right after I formed the corner diagonal (positive sl0ped) winning p0sition.
Except after I returned our chat's other games and panicked at the sight of a foll0wing win for them, I'd forgotten about my OWN win. I'd also only set my blind eye on their horizontal win, blocking it with stone "2'. (I can't judge them for not noticing my diagonal one because I also looked over their diag0nal). I
f I'd fully digested both their winning positions and my incapability of blocking both in one move and saving myself, I would've just backed out because I n0rmally never even attempt to block things in these games (like connect4) when that happens (because I know the severity of how there's no h0pe). It's not normal for me to do that (unless there are no sl0ts left but then I would've counted bef0rehand and finished games off instead of dragging out my l0st and prolonging the defeat).
and Honestly, maybe if I'd backed out (as a result) my previous winning hope for a win would've reiterated itself and I would've remembered it. Imagine how my opp0nent's face would've fallen when I won because they'd been sOooOo snug knowing that they were in a "wiN aNyWaY" position (as they hadn't noticed my area).
uGh i messed up,, and I normally win against this person. This was literally their first win in gOmOkU (against me), and it sucks to know I could've pr3vented that-
