Chapter Five: Mint

Staring at his confident smile, chocolate brown colored eyes, narrow nose, bushy eyebrows, and perfectly sculpted jawline... I can't help but...

Be freaking annoyed!

And he smells like... like... Fresh... oh no, Mint!

"Achoooo!" I couldn't control my senses so I ended up sneezing close to his face! Kasalanan niya, ang lapit naman kasi!

"Wow ha! Sabi ko kay Lord sana maging close tayo pero di ko ineexpect na ganito ka close!" He said while he's wiping his face.

"Mr. Dim- Kent! I am so sorry! Why are you so close kasi!" I apologized to him.

"Ganon ka ba ka allergic sa akin? Hinatsingan mo pa ako!" He playfully said while clutching his fist on his chest.

"Actually, sa Mint ako allergic. I'm sorry Kent." I told him again.

"Alanis ikaw ah, you owe me!" He replied.

"Huh?! What do you want? Lilibre kita dito sa caf." I offered since I am at fault here.

He glanced at his wrist watch "Malalate na tayo, sa susunod na lang." And he winked for the nth time!

Tss as if there's a next time!

As our school works are piling up, all of us have been busy completing it. Since I attend a science high school, I feel a bit pressured to keep up though. 

At first, I didn't know how I ended up enrolling here. But because I felt drawn to the facilities of our school since science connects to technology.

I liked the fact that almost everything here has an advancement of technology. From the system-related lockers, digitally inclined science laboratories which allow us to interact effectively with the specimens, the money-less cafeteria system, and many more.

It is now our uwian and for some reason, I can see a lot of students na tumitingin sa LED "bulletin board". It even has sounds, kulang nalang may mag connect ng Netflix dun. 

I smirked at my weird thoughts and decided to go there to see kung ano ba talaga ang pinagkakaguluhan nila.

When I got there, I saw tons of announcements. Merong galing sa student council, meron galing sa student publication, at meron din na galing sa school mismo.

"Huy ito na yung annual debate natin!"

"Grabe excited na ako sa mga kasali!"

"Kaso teachers ang namimili based sa specific project kaya malabo na makasali jan pre HAHAHAHA"

Oh right, ever since I was in elementary I heard na may annual debate nga among the high school students. I did not realize na malapit na pala mangyari ang debate.

I can say that lahat naman ay may chance na makasama since this is highly anticipated by the student body. Each level from grades 7-12 has two representatives lang. 

And those two representatives are the ones who will show the battle of the wits sa harap ng buong school.  

"Sa tingin niyo, ano kaya yung topics this year?"

"Edi syempre scientific! Duh na sa Science high school tayo eh!"

"Pero tignan mo, sabi nila get ready for a twist."

Then a student with glasses stepped in. She has this dominating aura na kapag tinignan mo siya ay maiintimidate ka. She's in grade 9 I think, and even though she has glasses, she does not look like a nerd, in fact, she's kinda pretty.
