I walk down the left side of the street as I normally do. I say hello to the people that I normally do. I see the people I normally see. I see the man that sits on the park bench and I see the little girl on the corner and smile as I normally do. I continue to walk down the street until i reach home. Today as I walk down the left side of the street I see the man that sits on the park bench and wave then I see a boy sitting on the corner of the street. I stop for a minute because this is unusual because the girl that sits on the corner of the street isn't there but a boy is. I decide to ask if the boy knows because surely if he's sitting there he would know. I asked if he knew. He replied that there was never a girl who sat there but always a boy. I nodded in understanding smiled and waved walking away knowing that when i walk by the corner that its not a girl i walk by but a boy and always has been. Even though he looked like a girl its what's on the inside that matters not the outside.
