Hi ya'll I finally feel confident to post this. I would love to have some opinions. I'd like to say that this is my experiences and feelings
Empathy
Empathy is given rarely
I've been told that the world needs more empathy
But the truth is
Empathy hurts its owner
It hurts its owner like needles to the skin
Like a moth to a flame
You wish to stop but kindness doesn't stop
It gives and gives until you can't anymore
Then it gives more
When you care you care even when they don't
When you want to hate someone with a burning passion
Yet empathy won't let you
Empathy won't let you hate
Empathy won't let you leave someone behind
Empathy makes you give and give in a world that just takes continuously
It seems like a good thing
But the thing about empathy is when you yourself are burnt out and barely holding on
It still won't let you stop giving
See the dangers of caring in a world where nobody else does
Is that you have to be kind
You have to be kind because no one else is
And it hurts
