Goodnight. :)———
Yaku's POV:
After replying to Lev, I switched off my phone and placed it facing upside down on my desk as I pulled out some homework I had to do.
I didn't expect to be out that long today, now I have tons of work to catch up on... I let out an irritated sigh, feeling a little frustrated at myself for not keeping track of time. I wasn't exactly the studious type, however, I hated it when I had massive amounts of homework to complete at night. Even though tomorrow was a Sunday, I still doubted I'd be able to finish my work then. And so, I aimed to finish half of my work tonight.
Picking up a pen, I started idly writing lines of an essay to one of the biology questions in my book. My hand quickly adapted to the momentum, and kicked off into autopilot as my brain fed it information to write. I have never been very focused in my work, I admit it. However, tonight was especially tough to get through. My brain kept wondering to the half russian boy I had been hanging around with recently, why was I thinking of him so much?
I tilted my head to rest my cheek on the palm of my hand, gazing outside the window for a moment. Lev, Lev, Lev, that's all you can think about huh? I berated my mind. It's not enough to see and think about him the whole morning AND afternoon, but nighttime too? I'm insane. Turning my head back down to look at my paper, I clutched my pen tighter and began to write more furiously, the pen's tip biting into the paper harder and bleeding ink as it roughly went.
I'm not gonna lie, I have developed a liking for him, but it's really too much. I don't know how to describe these feelings I sometimes have around him— it's just so irritating— no, HE'S so irritating with all those casual flirty comments and gestures and—
"Onii-channn~" A high pitched voice interrupted my thoughts, and I turned around quickly to face my door. I hear a couple knocks, before a small round face peeped into the crack of my now slightly ajar door. "May I come in?" I heard my younger brother, Mako, ask.
I nodded my head, turning back to my work.
He squealed and jumped on my bed, playing around with my pillows before leaning at the edge and poking me in the shoulder. I sighed, distracted once more, as I spun around in my chair to face him. "Yes, Mako? Your onii-chan is a bit busy now with schoolwork you know." I said softly, reaching out a hand to gently stroke his hair.
"I wanted to know who that tall handsome guy was just now!! Saw him from outside the window!!" Mako leaned closer to me, eyes widening in curiosity.
And no one can EVER shut up about him. I bit back my frustration, before replying simply.
"He's a friend."
Mako only pouted at my plain reply. "Ehh?? But didn't you spend so much time away with him? Did you guys at least have fun today during the LONGGG hours you were gone?" He leaned back now, crossing his arms.
Right, I left my younger brothers home alone for about 3 hours since my mom left after making them lunch... I felt a small pang of guilt hit me.
