Yaku's POV:

"Yakuuuuu-sannnn—!"

Ah, that familiar annoying voice that welcomes my morning.

"Yaku!" Lev jumped as he ran up to me, giving me a quick pat on my head as he landed. I mumbled a greeting to him too, sipping on a packet of strawberry milk as I kept my eyes on the pavement ahead.

"How are you feeling from last night? I hope my words made some sense at least haha.." He laughed awkwardly, looking away.

"I'm alright, thank you." I replied. Hearing a little good advice from him is shocking but a nice surprise.

"Yaku-san, by the way, did you see the Nekoma group chat?" He asked.

Was there something important there? I wondered.

"No, I didn't check my phone since last night. Slept early and woke up still tired. No energy to read all those crazy conversations from the group." I did fall asleep easily last night, but when I woke up in the morning my eyes felt sore and my shoulder ached. Must have accidentally slept in an awkward position...

"Ah, we're having another practice match today!" Lev beamed, excitedly holding the straps of his school bag tighter while looking at me for a reaction.

I narrowed my eyes.

"Again? We just had a match against Fukurōdani yesterday." I bit down on my straw in frustration, drinking the remaining milk in the packet quickly.

"Yeah! Quite sudden isn't it? Well anyway it was actually them who requested the match. And Kuroo said in the group chat how Nekoma would never turn down an opportunity to spar especially if it's with our rival Karasuno— that's what he said!"

I hummed in acknowledgment, tossing my empty packet of milk into a trashcan as we approached the school gates.

"Yeah, that's true. At least I'll get to see Yuu there." I smiled a little at the thought.

"Aww Yaku-san, you're so sweet! You know, I'll miss you lots too~!" He said heartily, resting his hand on my shoulder.

I stopped in my tracks, looking at him with a confused and pissed smirk.

Haah.. Is this kid for real?

"Yuu. Nishinoya Yuu." I stated.

His smile immediately dropped in realisation as a bright red began to spread on his pale face.

"AAAAAAHHH!!" He yelled, covering his face with his hands. "I'm sorry! I'll um—see you later! Yeah, see you later Yaku-sannn!!" He swiftly ran off.

I clicked my tongue in amusement.

What an idiot. I smiled to myself, making my way to my classroom block. But sure I guess, I'll be missing you too.

Upon making my way into class, I sat down at my seat and began to take out my stationery. I was an absolute sucker for window seats. So prone to distractions. Not like I disliked it though.

The teacher soon strolled into class, and after we greeted, we automatically took out our textbooks to do a little self study before our upcoming class test.
