It had only been a couple of days after the whole Batman and Joker saving the city (by literally holding hands, might I add).
Joker had been quiet for a while now, probably scheming of his next plan. Or maybe he wasn't scheming his next plan and was rather watching shows on his TV.
Batman had also been quiet, waiting for Joker and his goons to strike or maybe taking the couple days off? I mean... he did have a kid.

At least that is what everyone thought was happening, they didn't know what was actually going on. :)
