The journey for the three united family members began the minute they left pack territory.

Taking Agatha's directions, Ryder drives through unfamiliar territory. Everyone silent at first as all the trees whip by the car on the bumpy path, taking note of all the smells and sounds hanging in the branches.

The road eventually finds its way onto a quiet highway giving all three the chance to let go of the breath they were holding in.

"Which way Aggi?" Ryder asks the witch sitting next to him.

She turns her head to the right and leans slightly forward, as she looks passed Ryder behind the steering wheel, and down at the highway. Then pensively turns to look to her left. Her eyes narrow at the sight of the road before she opens her hands and looks deeply into her palms.

Cassandra moves forward from her seat and pops her head through the gap between the two front seats to join Ryder's stare at Agatha. They both watch as her lips start moving and whispering something they cannot hear and then just wait.

Agatha's whisper for guidance was answered by a sharp pang in the middle of her left hand, which clenched into a fist as soon as the pain hit.

Her eyes traveled to Ryder's. "Left." She finally answered.

Without further response, Ryder directs the car to the left on the quiet highway and increases their speed. Agatha occasionally giving directions as they went.

They eventually rounded a mound which was large enough to fall into the mountain category, and when they did, they were greeted by bright lights illuminating the now darkened sky.

"What the hell?" Cassandra erupted with surprise. "Is that what I think it is?" She added.

"A human city." Stated both Agatha and Ryder in unison.

"Aaaand, let me guess, that's where we need to go?" Cassandra dripped while rolling her eyes at the obvious thought.

Ryder looked at Agatha.

"Yep." Was the only confirmation she gave.

"Of coarse it is." Cassandra said with disdain as she drops herself back into her seat.

"I'll direct you to where we can leave the car and then we'll have to go the rest of the way on foot." Agatha says turning in her seat to look at Cassandra. "With any luck, we won't have to go too deep into human territory to get to the gate." She adds trying to put the noticibly irritated vampire in the back seat at ease.

Ryder follows Agatha's directions which leads them through the forest on the outskirts of the city to a well hidden outlook. Ryder parks the car and all three hop out and gather infront of the car.

"So where to now, oh witchy one." Says Cassandra smirking at her friend.

Agatha once again looks around and then into the palms of her hands before she points down the hill and towards the lights.

Being so close to humans meant that they would have to be careful not to be seen and remain in their human forms. Keeping their ears trained on all the sounds around them in case there was a human wondering around in the forest. All three of them had at some point in their lives encountered one of those wondering humans at night and those would turn out to be hunters.

They uneventfully reached the bottom of the hill and edged closer to the city. A few feet in front of them was a road, lined with lights and benches. The other side of the road was spotted with buildings. Some looked empty and dilapidated, the one directly across from them, however, was fronted with vans and cars and illuminated by bright blue and red flashing lights.
