Jane's Point Of View:

Ariana is now two weeks old, and she is just growing. I woke up, and walked over to the playpen next to Maura's side of the bed. I saw Ariana looking up at me with her big blue eyes, I picked her up, and placed her head on my shoulder. I quietly walked out of the room and into the kitchen. I made Ariana a bottle and sat on the couch to feed her.
"Good morning." I heard Maura say. I turned my head, and saw Maura in the kitchen.
"Morning." I said. She walked over and sat next to me.
"Do you want to go for a run?" Maura asked
"Now you want to run?" I asked sarcastically.
"I finally feel like it." she replied.
"The things I do for you." I said. Maura got dressed and I fed Ariana, then I got dressed and Maura watched Ariana.

I put the car seat in the stroller, and we jogged through the park.
"Come on Maura you can do it. The Doctor cleared you to work out last week. I still can't believe that something the size of a watermelon can come out of an opening the size of a lemon." I said
"Giving the gift of life, is the only reward that I need." Maura said
"Then why are still such a whiny pain in the ass." I said under my breath as I pretended to tie my shoe.
"Did you just call me a whiny pain in the ass?"
"No." Maura glared at me.
"I'm not the only one that sees it." I said
"My girlfriend, gossiping behind my back after what I've been through?" She asked
"Ever since you had Ariana, you just haven't been yourself."
"Your not the one that had to go through wave after wave of pain, until something the size of a...watermelon passed through your vagina." Maura said
"Let's just go home and get ready for your parents." I said
"Crap. I forgot about my parents coming." Maura replied

I pushed the stroller back home, and Maura got in the shower. I went into the nursery, and picked out a little dress. I carried Ariana into our room, and laid her on our bed. I laid next to her, my elbow on the bed, and my cheek in my palm, I stared at my baby. She had blonde hair, and blue eyes. Her eye color will probably change. Most babies are born with blue eyes, but grow out of it. When Maura came out of the bathroom, she laid on the bed, so Ariana was between the two of us.
"She's so peaceful." Maura said
"Yeah." I said admiring the little baby.

"My parents flight is coming in at twelve. I thought that we could pick them up, and get some lunch." Maura suggested
"Okay. That is fine."
"Great." she said as she gave my a long passionate kiss, then Ariana started to fuss.
"Don't cry." Maura said as she picked Ariana up.
"I need to get ready." I said placing a kiss on Maura's lips. I hopped in the shower, then got dressed. I brushed my teeth and hair, and met Maura in the living room. Ariana was in her bouncer sleeping, and Maura was sitting on the couch.

"We should go." I whispered in her ear. She stole a kiss, and got off the couch. I put Ariana in her car seat and I carried it to the car. We drove to the airport, and waited outside security for Constance and Mr.Isles. When they came threw security, Maura ran up to them and gave them a hug. I carried the car seat over to Maura and her parents, and shook their hands.
"Is this my grand daughter?" Constance asked. I lifted the blanket, that was over the car seat, and revealed the peacefully sleeping baby.
"Maura, she is beautiful." Constance said
"Thank you." Maura replied
"She looks like you." Mr.Isles said

"Well, shall we go?" Maura asked
"We shall." Constance replied. Maura and her mom locked arms, and I carried the car seat. After we ate lunch, we went back home. Maura and Constance sat out back. Constance was holding Ariana, and me and Mr.Isles where sitting on the couch.
"So how is it being a mother?" Mr.Isles asked
"A lot of work, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I love Maura and Ariana." I replied
"As long as my daughter is happy, I'm happy." he said
"Want a beer?" I asked
"Sure." he said. I went to the fridge and got us both a beer.
"I want to ask you something." I said
"Sure." he said
"I was think about asking Maura to marry me. Would you approve?" I asked
"Yes I would. I can see Maura is very happy with you." he said
"Good. I was going to ask Maura to marry me if you approved or not. I just wanted you to have a say. If you can't tell, I am very protective. Maura is my best friend... and more. I hate seeing her hurt." I said
"Well, I am glad to hear that." he said
"I plan on asking her. I just don't know when yet. There is just so much going on." I said
"Take your time." he replied. Then Maura and Constance walked in.

"What are you guys talking about?" Maura asked
"Nothing." I said
"Okay. Me and mom are going to go shopping." Maura said
"Do you want me to watch the baby?" I asked
"Yes." Maura said. I walked over, and took Ariana out of her arms. I gave Maura a quick kiss, then went back on the couch.
"Bye sweetie." Maura said
"Bye." I replied. I looked at Maura's father, who was looking at the baby.
"Do you want to hold her?" I asked
"Sure." I passed the baby to him, and she settled in his arms.
"She is so precious." he said
"Yeah." When she started fussing, I grabbed her pacifier off the table, and put it in her mouth.
"I can't believe my only daughter now has a daughter. I am so happy to be a grandpa." he said. I gave him a smile as I heard the back door open.
"Hey Janie." a familiar voice said
"Hey Ma." I replied
"I am just gonna start dinner."
"Okay." I said

When Maura and Constance came back, they came in with a whole bunch of bags.
"Where did you guys go?" I asked even though they already told me.
"Shopping." Maura replied
"This isn't shopping, Maura. This is building inventory for your own store." I said sarcastically. She gave me a glare, then put brought the bags to us to show us all she got. It was mostly all for the baby.... go figure.

Dinner:
Maura's Point Of View:

We gathered around the table, and Ariana was settled in my arms.
"So Maura, I would love for us to do something again, this was a lot of fun." My mom said
"Yes I would love too." I replied
"We are only here for two more days." She said
"Well, you are always welcome." I said
"Thank you."
"And we will love to see Ariana again." my father said
"And she would love to see you again." I replied

"Well I guess we should get back to the hotel." My mom said. I stood up from the table, and walked over to my parents.
"Okay. We should get together tomorrow." I said
"Okay, dear." she replied. Jane got up and shook their hand, and I let them out.
"It was so good to see my parents." I said
"I'm glad you had fun." Jane replied.
