The Other NotFound

-Chapter One-

Finn's PoV

-Monday Morning 4:30 A.M.-

-Location: Finn's Apartment-

The alarm from across the room sounds loudly. A groan was heard from the other side of the room. "Turn it offfff." The groans getting louder as the alarm kept ringing. I begrudgingly get up from my bed and go to my desk. I turn my phone and turn the alarm off. Time to get ready for work. I put my phone back onto my desk and make my way towards the door. The door was peaked open, Harley was laying down on the outside, paws in front of him. 

I pick him up and take him into the kitchen. Putting him down on his bed, I grab his bowl and fill it with puppy food from the counter. I place his bowl in front of his small bed. "Here ya go buddy. Enjoy your food." I give him head pats and make my way towards the end of the hall. I can hear snores coming from outside of the room. I hesitate before banging on the door. "Lachlan Wake Up. Get ready we're leaving in 30." 

Leaving, I hear a muffled 'yes' come from behind the door. I chuckle. I make my way back to my bedroom. I open the door to see Daniel sleeping in his bed. One leg hanging from the bed. I make my way towards the closet and take out a shirt and some pants. I take out my work boots and some tennis shoes. I grab my duffle bag and put the work boots inside, along with an extra change of clothes. Todays shift was only going to be a 12 hour shift for me and Lachlan. 

Once I get my bag ready I grab a backpack for Daniel. He was going to stay with George after school today. I take both our bags and his school bag and leave them in the living room. I make my way back to our room. 

He still wasn't awake. I put my hand on his shoulder and shake him gently. "Daniel, wake up I'm going to drop you off at George's house." He woke up half asleep. A slurred sentence came out of his mouth but I only understood a bit of it. "George's house?" I nod my head and move out the way as he gets up from his small twin sized bed. 

I make sure that the beds are made and make my way towards the kitchen, where I find Lachlan fixing up some eggs and bacon. I grab a plate and serve Daniel some breakfast. He quickly emerges from the bathroom and sits on a chair. I clap my hands together as I make a quick note in my head to grab some new shoes for Daniel. 

"Alright bud, game plan for today. I'll drop you off at George's house, you can hang there until its time for school and then you'll walk to the school at 7:45. Got it?" 

He nods his head as he shoves a spoon full of eggs into his mouth. "We have a 12 hour shift but if there is an emergency just text me and I'll be at Georges house. That's all. Oh and remind me to buy you some new shoes, seems like you're growing buddy." He gives me a thumbs up and gets up from the chair to throw his plate into the sink. 

-4:50 A.M.-

-Location: Apartment Car Park-

I unlock the doors to my Jeep and open the back seat. I throw the three bags inside and help Daniel get in. I make sure he's buckled up and close the door. I hop in the driver's seat and start the car. The journey to my brother's house isn't very long. But the scenery is beautiful. Its a very short trip. 10 minutes at most, but Lachlan insists on stopping at a Tesco's to get some water for later. So the 10 minute trip turns into 20 minutes.

By the time we get to George's house, we'd have gone through all 3 of Wilbur's songs and a whole Bo Burnham album. The car ride was loud, thanks to Lachlan belting out the lyrics to all of Wilbur's songs. Along with two missed calls from George. I assume he was sleeping like always.

I can see George's street coming up so I turn the volume down, as to not disturb the neighborhood. 

-5:15 A.M.- 

-Location: George's House-

I park into his driveway and see the kitchen lights on. I turn the car off and unbuckle my seatbelt. I unlock the doors and get out. I open the door for Daniel and grab both his bags. I grab his hand and make the small walk to George's front door. 

I knock on the door and wait for a response. 

1 second. 2 seconds. 3 seconds.

A couple seconds later and still nothing came. I unlock the door with the spare key and tell Daniel to wait in the kitchen. I make my way upstairs and knock on George's bedroom. 

Nothing came from inside. I didn't think of much when I opened the door. 

"-idiot, you're the reason our bed is broken." 

Uh oh. 

George looks startled at my appearance. He jumped a bit and his headphones disconnected from his computer. He looks confused then dumbstruck. 

"You idiot Im streaming you could've texted me!" He stood up from his seat. I rolled my eyes at this. "I did text you dumbass, check your phone. I called you twice! I thought that you were asleep!"
From his computer two voices were heard.
"Who's the hottie in the firefighter's outfit?"

 "I don't think now is the best time Sapnap."

I ignore both of them as I explain why I am in his room early in the morning. "Daniel is here, incase you forgot. You told me you would be able to babysit him until he needs to leave for school. He's downstairs probably taking your snacks and food. I'll be back later, most likely for lunch. " 

"Hottie has a kid, hes a dilf everyone."

George looks at the computer in disgust. "Sapnap now is not the time for your flirty antics."

The bickering continues until I go farther and farther from his room. I see Daniel in the kitchen, eating a Twinkie. 

I give him a kiss on the head. "Alright kiddo, I'll be off. I told your uncle that you're here. He's streaming so don't go upstairs until he tells you it's okay. And be good at school. I should be back by the time you come back, so I can eat some lunch." 

He nods his head and continues to raid George's pantry. 

I find myself back in my car. Lachlan looking confused. "Why'd you take so long?"

"I walked in on him streaming."

He hums in understanding. 

I turn the jeep back on and start the trip to the Station. 

-5:50 A.M.-

-Location: Fire Station 91-

I park the car on the backside of the station and turn the engine off. I get out and grab my work bag. Making our way towards the doors. The inside of the station is pretty quiet, besides some chatter from the paramedics. Lachlan gets pulled away from me by our Captain. And I make my way to the lockers. I enter the passcode for my lock and put my bag on the bench. I take out the boots and put them on. I put my tennis shoes inside the bag and shove it into the small locker. 

I grab my jacket and my pants from the coat hanger and change into the pants. 

The second I get up from the bench, the alarm sounds. 

Time to get to work.
