Third Person Point of View

The next day came as much as Kage dread it. Her nerves went haywire at the thought of walking up to her parents and put her mind into ease once and for all.

She has been avoiding this moment long enough and this time, she's putting an end to it.

Standing in front of her father's office, Kage knock while wreaking up her brain on how to open up the topic to her parents.

The door opened with her mom on the other side. Looking all worried and guilty at the sight of the sleep-deprived young lady.

“ Mind if I come in? ” Kage said, breaking the uncomfortable silence surrounding them.

“ Oh! Yes, of course. ”

Sitting behind the desk is Silva with the same expression as his wife while Kage tries her best to remain expressionless.

“ Kag— ”
“ I'm going. ” Kage cuts of her father.

“ Until we win. Give me until finals then I'll go back to Germany without a word. ” She firmly said while her knuckles turning white as her palm clenched into a fist.

The two elders look at the young lady in shock and relief with their daughter's decision but then it turns into a frown once they realize that Kage is heading into a very dangerous fight. But before they can open their mouths to protest, Kage cuts them off again.

“ No objections. It's been a year since I last step on the field for the finals and I may be exaggerating but this could be the last time I would ever play with Shuuya and I can't have that, ” Kage's eyes blur with tears, “ I want to leave something worth remembering with him and that's winning the finals. ”

At this point, Kage is already crying despite how hard she tried to stop the tears but the pain of losing her best friend for the second —and possibly the last time, is just too much to bear.

“ That's all I will offer and if you still refuse, I'll never leave then even if my body cripples in pain. ”

With that, the two elders turn to one another and sigh. They can't change Kage's mind even if they cry blood especially now that it's Gouenji they're talking about.

“ Okay. Until finals, that'd be enough time to say goodbye to him and the team. ” and without any more words, Kage walks out of the office sobbing.

“ Oh, Kage... We're sorry... ” Kikyo mumbled to herself with deep sorrow and guilty tugging her heart.

It's a normal day for Rairaiken but since it's Sunday, the boys are not occupying the space of the store, there are no customers.

With that, Coach Hibiki is left to just read newspapers by the counter, waiting.

That is when the door opened and the one standing there shocked Hibiki for a bit—it's Kageyama.

“ What do you want? ” asks Hibiki with so much hostility.

“ Huh? You look nice and relaxed, I guess making it to the finals of the soccer tournament can make even a weak man confident. ” Kageyama said walking up to the counter with one of his hands tucked in his pocket.

“ If you're not eating, you can leave. ”

“ Fine, I'll one bowl of your famous noodles,” smirks Kageyama as he takes his seat.

“ Unless of course, you're gonna refuse to serve me,” he added.

Hibiki reluctantly agreed and went to prepare Kageyama's order.

“ Are you not gonna speak to me? Remember, I was just as much a member of the Inazuma Eleven as much as you. ” Kageyama said while Hibiki chops off ingredients.

A grim expression graces the old man's face for a second but continues what he is doing without a word.

“ Our roles are as different as we're on the field as they are in real life now, weren't they? You're the owner of a noodle bar and I control the soccer frontier and stand at the peak of the soccer world. ” Kageyama said with hands intertwined in front of him while Hibiki fish out the noodles from the pot.

“ Ah, you're the one behind those Zeus monsters,” exclaimed Hibiki.

“ Ah, my little pet's reputation precedes them. ” Hibiki places a bowl in front of him.

“ You're not standing on any peak yet my friend. ”

“ Well, I will, before the game even starts. I'm already the winner and you are already the loser. You'll be crawling on your belly across the floor while licking your wound like a pathetic dog you are. ” Kageyama smirks.

Silence briefly surrounds them for a second.

“ Aren't ya gonna eat? ” Hibiki nonchalantly said, looking straight to the tall skinny man in front of him.

Taken aback, Kageyama fixes his black round shades.

“ Of course I'm not gonna eat. Why would I wanna eat a noodle made by a looser? ”

Hibiki smirks.

“ Well, you can't lose till you play the game, can you? We've got Endou and Itazura and you do not. ”

This made Kageyama reflect Hibiki's smirk and chuckles lowly.

“ I'll let you in with a little secret. The greatest of all your weaknesses is that you trust too much. ”

“ Tch. No, right. That's my greatest strength. You have no trust or respect for your players which means the only way you can win is by cheating. ” smirks Hibiki.

“ That's slander, my friend, you have no proof that I cheated in any way. Show me the proof, go on I dare you.”

Suddenly, the head of the ladle quickly made its way to Kageyama's direction. Resting across Kageyama's heart. Taking long-tressed male aback once more.

“ The proof is right there and your disgusting dirt black heart. The very reason why Cordelia left you alone in this world. ”

Kageyama chuckles.

“ And here I was thinking you changed because you get older and wiser but you're still you,” He turns to the door, “ On the day of the finals, your stupidity will come back and haunt you. ”

“ And you will watch each and every one of your team members comes crashing down to earth because of the disaster that you have created. ”

Flashes of the Raimon members all bruised up and injured came to Hibiki's mind through Kageyama's words.

“ Well, I'm looking forward to the game. ” Kageyama chuckles and walks up to the door.

“ Oh, I'll start looking for replacement goalie and forward if I were you. ” He added as Hibiki grunt.

“ My what? ” with that the tall skinny man was about of the establishment.
