Gouenji's Point of View

The team won the district finals but Kage was rushed to the school's infirmary because she faints. I, now sat beside her bed while she lay there motionlessly. She's still unconscious and I have a bad feeling about it. She've never been this weak before. Her complexion is very pale even her lips turned white now.

As I was about to check on the team, her right eyebrow twitch. I lean closer to see if I'm just hallucinating but it twitch again.

"Kyto..." She mutters and then slowly open her eye.

"Kage? You okay now?" I ask but she only looks at me for a good two minutes then suddenly flinched as if her mind just started working properly again.

"You... What are you doing here?" She asks but her voice was dry.

"You fainted earlier. It must be from your shot. It took so much energy from you." I said. She then starts to pull herself up to sit. I was about to help her but she stops me.

"Don't...I don't need it." She said but failed miserably. I sigh and just help her, going against her protest.

"Your body is too weak to even let you sit. Come on let me help you out." I said. After I have her seated, I sorrowfully turn to meet her eye that had been avoiding me since she opened it.

"Hey...I know it's not great timing to talk about this but it's the only time I've got where you're not able to run away again." I started but she only looks at me blankly.

"I'm sorry, I left that day. I-I just have to, and it's stupid of me not to tell you right away. That day... Yuuka had an accident. She was hit by a car and was rushed to the hospital." I heard her gasp but I continue.

"I've known about it before the match begin so I rushed to the hospital without telling you out of worried and shock. I never thought it would impact you like that. I just thought after that fiasco, I'll be able to tell you and you'd forgive me but I was too late. Father never told me that you're in the hospital as well, so I never got a chance to visit you. I called you hours by hours but you never answered. I figured that you must have been so mad at me that you don't want to answer it." I said and look over at her.

"You idiot..." She said. "Have you forgotten that I broke my phone way before the match?!" She yells with a irk mark on her forehead. I sweatdrop at my stupidity.

"I guess I was too caught up with things that I forgot," I said scratching my nape awkwardly.

"Baka-shii." She mumbled. "So... is Yuuka okay now?" She said looking away from me.

"She's stable now, sadly she's in a coma since the accident," I said. Silence then engulfed us for a moment until she spoke again.

"I'm sorry." She whispered, clenching her palm into a fist and setting her jaw.
