7. Wonder

As I feel them closing in

I can't help but wonder

When will the hurt begin?

It starts with a tainted lover.

As I feel them slither on

I hoped they picked another

For now, I'll be their pawn.

She was her fool, the other.

As they coil around my neck

For her, there is no other

Their love is venom, it's opaque

By sunrise, I'll be a goner.

As I feel their grip thighten

This pain I can not conquer

They kiss; Their eyes lighten

I am not their bother.

As I try to free myself

I scream and cry to kill the monster

The two hiss. They're one self

There's nothing left. They have no honor.

As I feel it getting harder

I see her, the robber

I fell my body getting lighter

Their poison got much stronger.

If only they were aware

Of what they did to each other

All I wish is for them to dare

To seek another.

It's late. They limp to the ground...
