A Romanian saying goes somewhere along these lines: "you know your real friend when you need them most"; between questions of morality, the adulthood conglomeration of shit decisions made under unexpected pressure and the consequences of all you ever chose since birth, it's hard to find someone who's there when your life's a bloody mess. Unless they are crazy too, of course.
Barry Berkman, ex-marine, struggling to retire from the life of an assassin in order to take on his new passion for acting, gets caught in 4K by a writer with a terrible sense of self preservation, desperate to research for her mystery book and overcome the harsh criticism she's been getting.
Depression clashes from two spectrums and their irony stumbles upon a mob war which has no room for their boiling anger issues. But that's okay, it's all for the research.
