Chapter Thirty-Four.

Edward:

"What do you mean? It's too early."

"Yeah, it's two months early."

"We have to get to the hospital."

"We will, now!"

"Good." I didn't grab anything besides my phone and Ash's hand. She grabbed her phone and we ran to the car. I drove really fast.

"Eddie, slow down, at this rate we're gonna go to jail."

"Relax we aren't even going over 80 MPH."

"Yeah, but you are going 79 MPH in a 40 MPH zone."

"I don't care we have to get to Allie."

"Why do you care so much?"

"I thought you wanted to get there quickly."

"I do, but not for Allie, but for Ryan because I know who hit us with the car."

"Are you sure that's the only reason you want to go?"

"No, I will admit, i still have feelings for him."

"Good, I thought you'd never admit it!"

"What?"

"I don't love you! I don't even like you! I like Allie!"

"What?"

"I like Allie. I used you to get to her. I'm sorry."

"Eddie it's fine."

"No it's not. I'm so sorry, Ashely. You really are an amazing girl."

"Let's just put this behind us."

"Okay, that sounds good."

"Okay." After about twentty minutes of silence. I broke it.

"Ash please don't tell Allie. I will when I'm ready."

"Alright, I won't say anything to anyone."

"Thank you."

"Why would you move in with me?"

"I want to protect you from Brittney."

"How do you know?"

"Know what?"

"About Brittney?"

" It's obvious."

"How?"

"I don't know, okay fine I was eavesdropping on you when she called."

"You did what?!"

"I am sorry."

"It's fine thank you for caring."

"You bet ya."

"I'm glad I picked you even if you don't feel the same way about me."

"Why? Ashely you should be mad at me because I don't feel the same way about you."

"But I can't be mad at you because I like you too much."

"I don't deserve you."

"Yeah you do."

"No. Really. I don't because you deserve so much more. More that Ryan can give you. I don't know why you picked me."

"Because I care about you an what you said about all that drama made me think about how badly Ryan and Alex had hurt me."

"Well I didn't write that out. Ryan did. He deserves you, not me!"

"And why don't you deserve me?"

"Because you're so perfect and I'm so me."

"You are so amazing."

Ashely:

"No. No I'm not."

"Yeah you are."

"Whatever."

"Why don't you believe me?"

"Because I don't."

"Why?"

"Because I don't."

"Do you now?" I asked, leaning against his chest.

"Nope." He smiled.

"How about now?" I said as I leaned harder into him.

"If I say yes will you stop stepping on my foot?"

"Oh sorry." I stepped off his foot, my foot hitting the pavement with a slap.

"Ha, it didn't even hurt that bad. I wanted you to get off of me without saying it."

"Saying what?"

"Fine. I am pretty awesome." Edward put in.

I smacked his chest making a soft thud noise. "You need to knock down some of that ego of yours."

"Oh wasn't that what you wanted?"

"Oh come on!"

"Come on? Really, Ashely?"

"What?"

"That was exactly what you wanted so don't complain."

"I'm not complaining."

"You are!"

"Whatever!" It started raining. Not sprinkling. Down pouring. This was California, it doesn't just rain here. That was just the beginning of the worst twenty-four hours of my life.
