S2E4: The Thomas Thorne Affair

It was a lovely day, and time for one of Pat's newer clubs of the season. Lucille did like Pat's clubs, they certainly ebbed away some of the boredom of death but even she must admit that it seemed like he was running out of ways to keep everyone entertained. The issue of being dead for so many years she supposed. She didn't know how the older ghosts kept themselves so entertained the whole time, especially Robin who had been here for thousands of years.

"Okay. Thank you, Lady B." Pat said as Fanny took a seat on an armchair opposite Alison. "Right, for me, it's a nice day, so I would go for my tracky Bs, my tracky T, and my white Hi-Tecs."

"Ooh!"

"Trendy!" Julian supplied.

"Robin?"

"Eh..." He stood. "Apollo A7L spacesuit. You got liquid cooling, portable life support system, locking cuff go-" He made the noise as he 'clicked' the cuff into place. The caveman had grown a sort of obsession with space and space travel since finding out about space travel and watching many a video on the topic.

"Spaceman. Yeah, really cool." Pat agreed.

"It is cool." Robin sat back down.

"Julian?"

"Trousers."

"Right, any sort of...?"

"No, any kind of trousers. It's funny, you don't miss them till they're gone." Julian said sombrely.

"No. Kitty?"

"Blue jeans... and a green jumper." She answered.

"Like Alison?" Fanny asked. At the sound of her name, Alison's head snapped up from what she was doing on the laptop.

"Oh, gosh! Yes! We'd be like twins."

"Captain?" Pat asked.

"This." He answered, his posture straight and arms behind his back clasping his swagger stick.

"You're kidding."

"No."

"We're saying you get up in the morning, and you can wear whatever you like." Pat told him. "Thomas is wearing double denim with aviators!"

"So..." He did a hand flip from were he was lounging on the chair.

"Luce is wearing... what was it?"

"Tartan dress with black knee high socks and Doc Martens." She informed.

Pat nodded. "And Mary is wearing a dress made out of seashells."

"With a simple lobster hat." Pat shot her a thumbs up.

"Still wouldn't change a thing." Captain told them. Lucille supposed she couldn't blame him, the uniform gave him a sense of purpose and comfort after all.

"Alright. Well, that's it for What I Would Wear If I Could Today... today. Don't forget, later, Julian will be giving a speech at 6pm sharp, on the art of spin."

"Is that off spin or leg spin?" Captain asked, thinking that the politician was talking about cricket positions. "Because-"

"No, no. Different kind of spin. It's a political tactic, coined in the-" Julian began.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah." Pat interrupted. "Let's save it for later." Julian nodded, settling back on the sofa. "Cool, cool."

"Look at all these bits I found out there. Could be valuable." Mike held his hand out to Alison, revealing the bits he had scavenged from the gardens. With the confirmation of a wedding booking from Clare and her partner, the two had been trying their hardest to get the house or the gardens a lot smarter than what they currently were.
