Oliver's ears twitched when he heard a sound come from the other room. He raised his head and slowly blinked the sleep from his eyes - it was quite normal to be woken by one thing or another in this new home. Both of his moms were fairly noisy creatures, always speeding into rooms and disturbing his sleep with they're loud coos and kisses and love of pets.

Oliver of course loved the attention but this particular time was a bit unexpected. His younger sister hadn't even awoken from her dark-time nap to ask for kibbles yet - which meant it was entirely too early for his mama to be making this much noise. Usually it took him and his three siblings a fair hour to wake her for post-dark kibbles.

He stretched his legs as he got to his feet and jumped down from his place on the back of the couch. As he made his way towards the ruckus of his mama he saw his sister and one of his brothers coming down the stairs to investigate what was happening.
