Saint Gio Brewster
"So you gonna sit there with an attitude and not eat?" I asked Storm as she sat across from me with her arms crossed and her lips poked out. Shrugging my shoulders I took a bite out of my burger. She wasn't hurting anybody but herself.
"Why can't I just see her?" She finally spoke. Grabbing my sprite I took a sip. "If that's what you really want I don't have a problem allowing you to see her. But how she's handling things seems real sneaky." I spoke.
"But how!" She yelled as I took a deep breath. I swear Storm wasn't a regular ten year old. She's to smart for her own good.
"When your mom was pregnant your grandmother kicked her out. She didn't want her to have you. She wanted her to focus on school. And she didn't like me or my family because of my parents pass." I explained while taking a deep breath.
"When your mom passed away we offered to give your grandma joint custody. She didn't want it. About two years ago when you asked to see her. She didn't want to. So when she showed up on Sunday and i found out she's been telling lies it got me mad." I spoke truthfully.
"But you didn't want my mom to have me either. You didn't even love her!" She yelled as I shook my head.
"Me and Chyna's relationship was difficult. We had our good times and we had our bad times. I'm not gon sit here and act like we were the perfect couple. We cheated on each other said some hurtful things. When I found out she was pregnant I was not happy. I was auntie Dior's age. But grandma and grandpa sat me down and told me I had no choice but to grow up. And I did just that. Storm you helped me grow in so many ways. Being a single father is hard. I only wants what's best for you." I spoke truthfully.
"But why did she lie?" Storm asked as I shrugged my shoulders.
"I'm sorry for giving her the address and speaking to her on ig and not telling you." Storm said as I nodded my head.
"Yea no Instagram for you anymore." I told her as she sucked her teeth.
"But auntie Destiny and Dj have Instagram." She whined as I shrugged my shoulders.
"I don't care what they have and eat your food. Don't have no money to be wasting." I said while eating a French fry. Grabbing my phone I went on Instagram and posted a picture.
