Chapter 4 | apologies & a real conversation

A week or so had passed and i had forgotten about the situation to a extent, it was currently Saturday and i was pissed cause i was being treated like a child. My mom already didn't like that i smoked but especially not in the house so when i got caught she grounded me. The only way i could leave the house was if i went to dashawns house which i wasnt complaining about but i still didnt like the fact that i didn't have a choice.
Dashawn walked into the living room from the kitchen throwing the drink i asked for at me "your so lazy" he said falling down onto the couch
I shrugged opening the drink and setting it in front of me " im the guest, your supposed to get things for me" i joked
Dashawn scofted " you basically live here, your supposed to get off your ass and get it yourself" he said
I smiled glancing over at him " it just sounds like your the lazy one" i said
He rolled his eyes " whatever, you know grimeys coming over today right" he said
I tried to pretend like i didn't care " you didnt tell me so no i don't" i said taking a sip from the drink
Dashawn laughed " just tryna see if your gonna be a bitch about it " he said
I flipped him off " i told you i didn't care" i said which he only shrugged off
It wasn't long before someone knocked on the door and my whole effort of being nonchalant shattered. Dashawn smirked at me before standing up and going to open the door.
"wassup bro" Dashawn said and soon after i could hear walking coming down the hallway
They walked in and in that second grimey realised what was happening " you set me up" he said
Dashawn laughed leading him to the couch i was on " well i wouldnt call it that" he said
I started fidgeting with the lighter that was in my pocket "i would" i said
Dashawn laughed as he started walking out of the livingroom to somewhere else in the house.
Grimey watched as he disappeared around the corner before turning to me " hey" he said
I nodded slightly at him " hi" i replied back emptily
I guess he saw through my mask because a flash of guilt seemed to appear on his expression but it was gone as soon as it was there " look i wasnt avoiding you exactly, i just-" he tried to say but started to trip over his words
I shook my head starting to get over it just because of how guilty he sounded "don't hurt yourself, its alright" i joked
He left out a deep breath sounding relieved "if i knew you were being serious i would have been there" he said bluntly
I nodded understandingly " so how did you spend your week" i asked
He stared at the floor thinking about it for a second " working" he said in a less then convincing tone
I smiled " boring, bet you missed me though" i said not sure if he would catch on to that i was just joking
"not even a little" he said as my smile grew wider, it was easy to tell when he was lying. He would fidget and avoid eye contact and it just sounded like a lie coming from him.
I chose not to mention it because I wanted to see how long he would keep lying for.
I looked at him fake offended " ruthless" i said dramatically
I watched as he laughed once again, i liked the quiet side of him but it was fun getting reactions out of him even if they didn't last that long. We stayed like that for a while before Dashawn came back to check and see if it was safe. Once we were all cool again we hung out for a few more hours before grimey had to leave. I walked him to the door said bye and watched as he started walking away from the house.
Once he was gone i closed it and walked back into the Livingroom " see you should trust me more often, imma problem fixer" he said
I didn't reply just let myself fall back onto the couch staring at the ceiling " what?" Dashawn asked slightly concerned
I was focused on the fact that my head was spinning " i think he makes me dizzy" i said
Dashawn started laughing " i don't know how to fix that" he said
I smiled slightly keeping my gaze on the ceiling, i could feel my heart beating through my chest and that was what worried me the most.
