Chapter 2

"Oh..! Hi! " I greeted awkwardly, taking a step back from Hakken. For some reason he looks very charming when I look at him this closely.

"You dropped your wallet just now when you're 'sprinting' away. " Hakken said, showing me my wallet that he's holding in his hand. He realize I was actually trying to run away just now when I talked to him?? This is so damn awkward!!! I don't even think I have the 'face' to stay alive anymore.

"Uh- thanks- " I stuttered, trying to hide my embarrassment. (But of course it didn't work. ) How can I act like this when I'm the one who approached him first? I look like some sort of psychopath stalker. I grabbed my wallet from his hand slowly.

He smiled, "You don't have to act so shy. I don't bite, alright? "

I felt a throb in my chest and I definitely know what feeling that is! I'm definitely in love with his beautiful smile. He don't really smile much in school and that's why I thought that he might be lonely or something. But right now when I get to look at him smile, I'm actually pretty amazed as well. For nothing, though. I don't really know what's the big deal about him smiling but somehow it felt like an accomplishment to me lol.

"You're pwetty- "

Hakken looked at me confusingly. "Huh? "

Fuck. I just realized I said that out loud. "No no no! You've misunderstand. I just said, thank you! Yeah! " I said hesitantly.

He let out a small laughter. "I can hear what you said, alright? Thanks, anyway. "

He heard what I said! My life felt like it could crumble in pieces. "I'm... sorry.. " I murmured.

He raises an eyebrow. "Sorry? For what? For complimenting me? " he teased.

"I- "

Hakken smiled again. "I'll treat you to lunch. See you later. " He turned around and went back to his seat, leaving me stand there frozen.

I have no idea what happened just now but somehow I felt happy. Maybe it's because I can hang out with him! For some reason, I just wanted to talk to him subconsciously and right now when I did it consciously, it doesn't feel real. I'm really amazed by his small laughter, especially his smile! I can still feel my heart racing but it's definitely worth the try.

I subconsciously let out a smile as I walked back to my seat and I can feel my inner me dancing. Lunch lunch lunch~

It's recess time and I got up from my seat right after the teacher left the class.

"Hey, Knite. Let's go for lunch. " Harry said, poking me with his ruler.

"I can't! I'm going for lunch with- " I whispered but then someone walked up to me. And that's Hakken.

He looked over to me without saying a word. When he see me talking to Harry, he immediately walked out of the classroom.

"Oh~ I get it. A date. No worries! You should go. " Harry teased and he laughed.

"No! It's definitely not a date! We just talked, alright?! " I looked over to the door, "I gotta go. Don't spread weird rumors around, Harry! " I walked out of the classroom immediately to find for Hakken and I saw him standing near the stairs, leaning against the wall.

When he saw me coming out, he pushed himself away from the wall and walked up to me.

"Sorry for making you wait, I'm just discussing about something with my friend. " I apologized.

"No problem. Let's go. " he said with a cold tone. It's just like when I talked to him earlier in the classroom. Somehow it's as if he's not the same person as he is when we talked earlier.

I wonder what made him like that?
