It is essential to remember that Juniper Maddox had many goals in her life. Whilst they weren't as large or flamboyant as some of her friends, she still had them. They were kept to herself, locked away in a safe in the back of her mind, where she vouched only she could keep those goals in order, in check.

Juniper Maddox was so angry in comparison to him, a tornado compared to an ocean breeze. She was all annoyance, and pent up feelings, and the need for an outlet. She was never known by a great, but she was great. Ferociously loyal, to the point where she'd give her last breath to a friend if she believed they deserved it.

She believed in a lot of things. Among this list of fate, and science, and meet cutes, and the fulfilment of her capacity for wonder, was him.

She believed in him.

Juniper Maddox believed in Alexander Albon, even when he didn't himself.

At times, it felt like he came from somewhere entirely different — almost another planet. They found eventually, that they'd grown up mere cities apart but never could she fathom that he could've been so close to her, and ended up so different.

He knew himself, despite what they tried to convince him of. His priority for family never wavered and he convinced himself that his worth could not change depending on one groups opinion, one bases judgement, one persons belief.

Which is why, when Alex meets June, he has no issue with the way she would rather know everything about him from him, instead of the media. He just never thought keeping two of the biggest aspects of his life away from each other could prove to be so hard.
