Chapter 1

Maddies POV

"MADDIE GET DOWN HERE RIGHT NOW!!"
i heard as i woke up from a dream i had about meeting my idols 5 seconds of summer.

I got up to get ready for school. I took out my favorite t-shirt that said "5 seconds of summer" and a pair of dark blue jeans. "MADDIE!" my mom screamed. "Ill be down in a minute!!" I replied quickly.

I took my shirt off to change and looked at the bruises on my arms. i didnt want anyone to see them so decided to cover them up with a long sleeve shirt under.

"NOW!!" I heard her coming up the stairs. I hurried and put my jeans on. Kenzie walked in my room and i was relieved because i thought it was mom coming up.

"You better hurry mom is pretty mad." kenzie said. I walked in the bathroom and brushed my hair.

I applied some mascara and lip gloss and I was ready for whatever would happen today.
I lied to myself. I walked downstairs to find my drunken mom standing next to broken glass.

"ITS ABOUT TIME YOU COME DOWN! NOW CLEAN THIS UP RIGHT NOW!
mom said as i looked at it. I stood there for a moment. Mom has been pretty bad lately after dad had past away a few months ago. She has been very mean, sad, and abusive ever since.

"WHAT ARE U WAITING FOR? CHRISTMAS! GET IT MOVING!" mom said as aggressively

"Ill help you madz" i heard a voice beind me.
"Thanks kenz"

I grabbed the broom as kenzie held the dust pan for me. I had to be the cinderella in the house because my mom wouldnt do anything. Kenzie would help once in a while but she always had SOO much homework to do.

after i was finished i saw a yellow school bus outside. Great another day of name calling and bullying. I had a pretty rough time at school because i was judged by my scars and the bruises i had. I was kinda depressed all the time. I wasnt ready for today.
