when one connects with another
you realize there's a string
a string of attachment
and what you mean
when one leaves another
you realize there's a loose thread
a hanging thread of attachment
and what you want

you hold scissors but cannot snip
you hold a knife but cannot cut
they always said
"cut loose threads"
but for once your mind is filled
with strings and frayed cloth
