The sun starts to hit Y/n's face, making her wake up. She stretched her arms and opens her eyes, then heard a loud sound. She looked to where it came from and it was Mowgli and Ranjan. "Boys! Where are you going?" said Ranjan's dad.

"To do our chores! Bye, Pop! See you later." The dad yelled, "Remember, don't cross the river." Y/n grew curious and decided to follow them without being seen, she then hid onto a nearby bush.

She peaked to see what the boys were up to, she then spotted Shanti heading over with a pot in her hand. Shanti gathers some water, then out of the trees it's Mowgli scaring Shanti. "Hey, Shanti!"

"Ah!" Mowgli asks, "What are you doing here?" said Mowgli as he gets down from the tree, "Getting water. What are you doing here?" Mowgli looks around, "Oh, I'm on the lookout...for danger."

"Danger? Please. There's no danger around here." Y/n gets a little confused, what does he mean lookout for danger?....is it Shere Khan.... "Well, keep this just between us. Yesterday, I saw tiger tracks."

Oh no...it must be Shere Khan.... Shanti rolls her eyes, "Tiger tracks? Right." Mowgli gets closer to her, "It's Shere Khan. I hear he's looking for me. Seeking his bloodthirsty revenge." Shanti starts to get scared, "So keep your ears open, and always watch your back, or the last thing you'll ever hear is..."

Suddenly Ranjan dressed like a tiger and scared Shanti making her fell into the river getting herself wet. The boys were laughing at her being so scared, Y/n quietly sighed with relief, but was upset for Mowgli pulling a joke like that.

"When does the tiger roar?" and both of the boys roared, Shanti angrily got up from the river, "You're horrible! Horrible, stinky boys." She got out from the river and took Ranjan's hand, "Come on, Ranjan. He's a bad influence."

As she took Ranjan, Mowgli shrugs his shoulders, Y/n then comes out of the bushes, "That was not funny." Mowgli turns around to see Y/n looking upset, he smiles at her, "Y/n, it's been so long since I seen you."

He hugs her tightly causing Y/n to heat up, but she ends it quick by stepping back, "You can't be pulling jokes like that, especially about Shere Khan." Mowgli seems a bit confused and shrugs, "Oh come on Y/n, besides no one got hurt. And look Shere Khan hasn't bothered me in the village since I've been here."

"Still, you know it's a bit personal for me since I was raised by him. Not to mention how you don't have to deal with being know as Shere Khan's cub in the jungle." She turns away and Mowgli puts his hand on his shoulders, "I'm sorry Y/n, I didn't mean to make you upset."

He looks at the pot, grabs it and fills it up with water, "Tell you what, why don't you come with me and you can meet Shanti and Ranjan." She looks at him feeling uneasy, "I don't know....I don't want to be seen in that village, can't I just watch of what you do there"

"No worries Y/n, it'll be fine." He then spotted some clothes and gives it to her, "Wear this so people will think you live here and just stay close to me so you won't get lost." She puts it on and softly smiles, they then head to the village.

She looks around to see everyone doing there every day chores, work, and activities, she looks over to Mowgli, "So how's the village so far?" He shrugs, "Eh not bad, but you can't beat the jungle."

She chuckles, "Yeah, I don't know how you can handle it here. I barely lasted a whole day." Mowgli looks at her, "Wait you were here?" She nods, "Yeah, but right now it's not important and trust me when I say you do not want to know the story behind it."

Shanti and Ranjan arrived at a mango tree in the center of the village, Shanti looks at him, "Now don't move." She wipes off the paint on his face, "That wasn't very nice, you know." Ranjan roars at her.

"Stop that. You're not a jungle boy." She gathers some mangos, Ranjan asks, "Why are you so scared of the jungle?" She puts the mango in her basket, "Because it's dangerous." He looks at her, "Dangerous? But Mowgli says..."

"You shouldn't listen to everything Mowgli says." He gets a bit confused, "But I thought you liked Mowgli." She shrugs, "Well, I do. I like Mowgli. But I have... oh." She turns to see Y/n and Mowgli with her pit filled with water, "Er, you left this at the river."

She takes the pot, "Thank you." Ranjan turns to Mowgli, "She's in a bad mood." Mowgli winks at him, "Hey, Ranjan. You want to see a little trick I learned in the jungle?" Y/n stood by as he does the trick that Baloo taught them, he shoots the banana into Ranjan's mouth. "That's a pretty good trick."

Shanti grabs a mango, "Well, here's a little trick I learned right here at home." She then throws the mango to a tree watching the tree peeling the mango and landing into her hand. Y/n and Mowgli were amazed and yet shocked, "Wow. That's a neater trick." Ranjan said as he eats the mango.

"Like I said, Ranjan, don't listen to him." Mowgli mocks her by mumbling blah blah blah, he turns to him, "She's right, Ranjan. Don't listen to me." Y/n gets confused to what he said.
