{RYDER}

I was in Mal and Evie's dorm room, sitting on Evie's bed and texting Jane to make sure the decorations for cotillion are amazing.

"Oh! Okay, Evie, I cannot breathe," I heard Mal say, I guess Evie zipped the dress too tight.

"Well, you can breathe after Cotillion," Evie told her as I let out a light chuckle.

"Well, I sincerely doubt that," Mal complained, "I have at least 20 events right after it and I can't even remember what a single one of them is."

"Calm down Mal, Ben can help you through it so, you don't have to worry about anything," I told Mal, looking up from my phone. Mal nodded with a small smile.

"Evie?" Mal said.

"Hmm," Evie said.

"Do you ever think about what we'd be doing if we were back on the Isle right now?" Mal asked.

Evie laughed, "That's funny," I turn on the TV.

"Ooo, look who's on TV," I said as Me and Evie stood a little closer to the TV while Mal sat on her bed, huffing.

"As the Royal Couple continues the tour of the Kingdom," The reporter in the TV said, "They dined with Aladdin and Jasmine," The TV showed Mal and Ben dining with Aladdin and Jasmine, "Six months ago... No one thought, King Ben and his girlfriend from the wrong side of the bridge would last."

Mal scoffed, "Yeah. No kidding."

"Mal must be counting the days until the Royal Cotillion. When she will officially become a Lady of the Court."

I heard Mal gasp as she went over to her bedside table and took out her Mother's spell book.

"Read it fast at lighting speed. Remember everything I need." Mal read from the spell book. She waved her fingers to a book and began to scan it. Evie and I shared a look before sighing.

"I know Mal's secret to fitting in, and I know Ben wouldn't like it one bit," I said, not looking away from the TV. I turned around so now I was facing Mal, "Haven't you guys had enough between the two of you?" I asked her.

"Ry, you remember what I was like before I started using my spell book. I mean, I was a complete disaster," Mal said, looking up from the book.

"He's right and well, personally as your best friends, we strongly believe. That this spell book-" Evie said as she reached for Mal's spell book, "It belongs in the museum, along with my mirror," Evie told her. Mal pouted as I shook my head, "Don't give us the face. Put the pout away. Mm-hmm. You know we're right."

Mal sighed as she looked out at the window then back at me and Evie.

"E, you don't ever miss running wild and just breaking all the rules?" Mal asked Evie as I sat on Evie's bed.

"Like stealing and lying and fighting?" Evie asked.

"Yeah!" Mal said with excitement in her voice.

"No!" Evie exclaimed.

"What?" Mal asked, confused.

"Why would we? M, come here. Look at where we are. We're in Auradon! And we're Auradon girls now," Evie said as she dragged Mal to the TV as I stood next to Mal.

"Since Mal revealed her love of strawberries, she has received hundreds of cartons from her admirers. Here she is enjoying a cozy bite..." The reporter said as it showed Ben feeding Mal a strawberry.

Evie squealed and gave Mal a side hug.

"See, this is the land of opportunity. We can be whatever we want to be here. So, please Mal, let's just leave the past in the past, okay?" Evie said, "Besides," Evie picked up a shoe, "I mean, look at the shoes. Look at them."

"Mm. Severe," Mal said as I let out a light chuckle.
