for my own sake, the canon of DPS is going to be altered a bit within this story. although it will mostly take place during the events of DPS, the timeline will not be perfect. you might want to check back on this chapter every few updates bc it's an ongoing list.

1. obviously the protagonist/her school/her friends do not exist in the canon. but now they do! so crazy.

2. if i make any historical errors, it's definitely intentional and definitely not a mistake <3

3. all the main dudes smoke a few times during the movie, but for the sake of this story, charlie dalton is an established smoker. you'll see.

4. any little random facts I throw in, such as a random character having a favorite color, are now canonical within this story. i make the rules. my story. mine. this is fanfiction is controlled by an authoritative ruler and that ruler is me.

5. both schools are located in Montpelier, Vermont. Welton is located on the grassy outskirts of town and Constantine spans across a few streets within the city.

6. idk if this counts but after more research i have deduced that this is one of few wattpad dps fanfics that pass the bechdel test so do with that what you will
