Chapter 21

We came back to dorm after dinner. Scarlett and Xavier were already there. We all are sitting on the floor enjoying ice cream which Xavier brought.

"So guys how was your double date"? I asked.

"It was amazing. Sam's boyfriend is also a nice guy". Scarlett said.

"That's nice. I hope to meet him soon".

"Sam was asking about you so I said you got busy. Text him later". Xavier said.

"Yeah I will".

"Where did you went"? Scarlett asked

"We went out for dinner".

"Scarlett I need to ask you something"? I asked.

"Yes Avery".

"What are your plans for thanksgiving. I mean are you going to your parents house"?

"I am not sure. I don't want to go back considering my step sister and her boyfriend. I am sure they will be there but I don't want to be alone as well".

"You can come with us baby". Xavier said.

"No. Its fine. I will go to my aunt's house". Scarlett said.

"Scar! I was going to ask to you to come with me. Infact my parents invited you". I said.

"They invited me"? Scarlett asked.

"Yeah. They want to meet our new friend". I said.

"Are you sure Avery"? She asked hesitantly.

"Come on Scarlett. Its completely fine everyone is excited to meet you". Edward said to Scarlett.

"Everyone"? She asked.

"Yeah our parents and Edward's sister Emma". I said.

"Where do I live then"? She asked.

"Ofcourse with me". Xavier smirked at her.

"Ofcourse not you idiot". I smacked his head. He rubbed his head and glared at me "why is that"?

"Because you didn't told anyone that she is your girlfriend".

"She has a point Xavier. First you need to inform them about your relationship". Edward said.

"Yes you are right". Xavier said.

"I am always right". I flipped my hairs.

"Scarlett you can stay with Avery". Edward said.

"Yes. Scarlett you are going to stay with me. End of the discussion. Just inform Sam that you are coming with us". I said.

"Okay". She smiled at me.

"Yes and on thanksgiving giving dinner, I will tell everyone about our relationship". Xavier said.

"We will also tell them on thanksgiving". Edward said.

"I will be with Avery then how you will tell your parents"? Scarlett asked in confusion.

We laughed at her question and then Xavier said " Scarlett baby, our families celebrate thanksgiving together".

"Oh. They are also close like you guys".

"Yes but we don't know in whose house dinner will be arranged this year". Edward said.

"We live in same neighbourhood Scar. As we became best friends our families got close to each other as well". I said

Our families bonded over our friendship. Me and Xavier are neighbours and Edward lives just few houses away. Our parents met each other when we were kids and since then we all are a big happy family. We celebrate everything together. Every year thanksgiving dinner is organised by one of the family.
