Lady Amelia Knorev, a Baron's daughter, her current situation was, being sold to a viscount's son by her father to gain financial power,

An item,

Her mother lost a lot of blood after giving birth and died, her father who was being financially supported by his wife, suffered a huge loss and thus became greedy,

In an arranged marriage, such thing as romantic feelings, are quite rare, but the Baron never felt the slightest of reminisce at the situation, he was just happy that he had found an item to sell in order to fulfill his personal desires.

Amelia,

Amelia Knorev,

The foolish Baron's daughter. The Angelic lady of the Knorev.

-

"Well look at you, aren't you just stunning,"

"Thank you, I was told I was gifted by my father,"

"My Amelia is such an angel,"

I didn't know what I found more disgusting, being hit on by a married man-stranger, or complimenting my father's fake façade.

"Well then I'm sure my son here will be loved by such an Angel,"

I was obviously in a before-marriage meeting, but even knowing that, I had not once looked at the "man" I was going to marry, It was a simple hint,

I don't want to marry you.

Hopefully he'd get that quite easily, but he was just as foolish as his father was,

"You don't seem like much of a talker,"

He had, a lovely voice to the ear, one that would tingle your belly unknowingly, he had the looks and the charm, and so, he's popular with the ladies,

"Lia my dear, don't be rude, how about you take a walk around the place and get to know each other,"

I internally scoffed,

We were in a gambling restaurant, this was no place to walk around and get to know each other, let alone the fact of being a place for marriage discussions,

"That sounds lovely,"

His hand was extended towards mine, inviting me to join his walk, we stood up simultaneously, as we waltzed away from the table,

"They look good together,"

Was the last thing I heard,

"Have you even been here before?"

"No, it's my first time,"

I liked that he would break the ice once in a while and bring up a topic to chat about,

"Thought so, this is no place to bring a lady,

But I hated that it was his way to start flirting, it was without a doubt that he was a womanizer, if only I could see his face behind that alluring mask of his,

"I would love to see what you look like behind that mask,"

I ignored that, looking straight ahead me, wishing that time would fly faster. In honesty, it crept me out that we thought the same thing.

"My father owns the place; it's very popular among the Aristocrats. We gain money from their obsession to slowly start rising our rank, they say money is power, so my- sorry, our fathers are very greedy, so they'll use it to get involved with other multiple underground markets,"

"And why are you telling me this?" revealing such information, aren't you scared that I might take you down?

"Why? Because you're my soon-to-be bride, Amelia,"

"Lady Amelia," I corrected, "And please, your face is too close for my liking,"

He chuckled, moving his hand around my waist pulling me slightly closer to him, his face was already close enough, so I retreated mine.

"Could it be that my Fiancé is shy? I love the innocent ones,"

Everyone is just staring, can't they see it's abuse?

"You shall be my bet,"

Excuse me?

In response to my confused state, he smiled, hair impeccable, eyes gleaming, enough to hide the fact that I was about to marry a mentally unstable man.
