You had went to your doctor and told them about regulus, and you wanted to make this quick since Sirius was home alone with an animagus baby

"Oh so I'm guessing the father is one." The doctor says and you nod

"Yeah he's unregistered, I talked to him after regulus turned into a dog." You say and your doctor sighs

"Sorry I didn't tell you the affects it can have, but we found out that new potion can cause the baby to become an animagus, but only if a parent is one it can increase the odds of it being born one. But it really helps pregnant woman, it seems that a fetus can skip everything else as long as they have had those ingredients, but the baby's have only become one in mothers who are animagus's or with fathers who are one, so we ask and if they say the father is one or we check the mothers file and are they aren't one, we give them the potion." The doctor explains and why don't they say this in the beginning?

"I see, I wish he told me so I could have told you." You say and he then leaves and gets some potion, he said this can stop regulus from turning into an animagus and make it easier for you, as long as he takes it once a month, and if you forget you can always take it any time

You nod and take it and then leave and go home

Sirius was ok the ground as regulus was asleep on top of him

You smile and wake up Sirius who fell asleep on the goring

Sirius slowly got up and held regulus and asks you how the doctor appointment went

"Well he explained the potion he gave me for my pregnancy, and gave me some potion to stop regulus from transforming." You say and Sirius nods

"For now lets give it to him, when he's older he can choose if he wants it or not." Sirius says and you nod as you didn't know what to think right now *Honestly the doctor could have saved us all of this, if he just explained more about the potion!*
